"This park is named for the iconic Mr. and Mrs. Coleman for the important part they played in West Palm Beach as premier providers in bereavement and Funeral service. What makes them so special is the children mirrored the parents in their contribution to the city as well. Lenny Two was my classmate who shined in the performing arts. Her daughter Gazzele (sorry if misspelled) was a constant face in the business, her other daughter I was less familiar with but these I knew personally. This park is alive and well and an amazing transformation from the past brought into the present with the same style and grace symbolic of Mrs. Coleman the family Matriarch. It's very clean well maintained surroundings and safe and inviting. With it's facelift parking is a problem. A Veteran was lost recently looking for the outdoor garden on his motorcycle and asked for directions. At the time I couldn't make the connection. Both of my now adult daughters went to aftercare there. It's such an amazing facility repurposed in keeping exciting challenges providing needs for our youth from all cultural backgrounds. It's not just basketball courts. Not only are they growing gardens.it's growing and shaping the minds of young and older alike. It's a natural resource for this community. All lives matter and one visit is proof of this truth."

"Coleman Park is a nice park. My church has held our church picnic there a couple of times. The staff has been very helpful and friendly. Our experience would have been better if the water fountain was working. Everytime we've hosted an event there the water fountain has been broken which limited the activity for the young children. The water fountain was one of the reasons we've chosen Coleman Park to have our picnics. So we have been disappointed that we've been unable to utilize the park for what it's supposed to offer."

"Parks within the African American community are notorious for drug and other illegal activity. No longer. The young citizens must be reminded that It's name is synonymous with a reputable and highly respected African American family. It gives me great pride to observe the joy and happiness young children of any color are experiencing in a safe environment where they can play, hangout with their peers without feeling threatened. I actually observed a black father (Real Black Man) jogging with his son approximately 8 or so years old around the park. The winds of change are blowing it's horn and I like the sound of it's music. Community involvement, concerns of law enforcement, and the voice of our youngest citizens to " play free" has been heard. The atmosphere is relaxing with welcoming eye appeal complimented by a clean, manicured landscape."
