"My husband booked this as a romantic package. The room location was perfect. The staff were so friendly. When we went out for the evening and came back they had snuck in some champagne and cheesecake. The atmosphere was charming too. The roof top bar had a great view and the drinks were made perfectly (nice and strong). The only thing I didn’t like was that breakfast only started at 8am, we wanted to be on the road by 8 so we went Nextdoor to the Starbucks. If you are looking for an easy working around area to go do things I would not stay here. There is definitely a good bit of things to eat around the hotel. This would have been the perfect hotel if it was located closer to downtown or the beach to be able to walk to different attractions."

"Stayed at the Karol for a business meeting nearby. Had a room block of nearly 40 people and everybody was happy. This hotel was perfect. The entire hotel is spotless. The rooms are large with comfy beds, huge bathrooms with plenty of light. The staff was kind and accommodating. The restaurant was yummy and reasonable. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I will 100% be coming back here, the next time I am in town. Bravo to the entire team"

"We live locally but have never stayed at the Karol hotel. We decided to try it for our anniversary getaway. I made reservations at the restaurant ahead of time. While the place is a bit pricey it was beautifully furnished and had great service. WHAT WE LIKED: * Check-in was quick, efficient, and friendly. *The rooms were very nice. Showers were large and the bed was very comfortable. * The hotel, our room and bathroom all looked and smelled clean. Very pristine. * The Vantage Rooftop bar was really nice. It had a nice view of Tampa Bay and the night lights of the surrounding city. The bartender was awesome. I wish I had remembered his name because I would like to give him a shout out. He was probably the best bartender we have ever had. He grew up in the area and knew a lot of history of the hotel as well as the area. His drinks were excellent! For a Saturday night it was not crowded but still had plenty of activity.j * The K Club Bar & Bistro restaurant there was also excellent. For dinner I had scallops that might have been the best ever. Service was good as well. We also had breakfast there the next morning. We had their Steak Benedict. It was unique and was really good. But if you do get this for breakfast I highly recommend getting the A1 hollandaise on the side. Its flavor can be a little dominant. WHAT WAS JUST OK: * The location is easy to get to but the immediate area (walking distance) had nothing worth walking to. * We had 1 free bottle of water in our room. A few more would have been nice. * Our room was facing the west side and had a view of the parking lot. I wish someone would have recommended the upper floors of the east side (that faced Tampa Bay). However, after a night up at the rooftop bar, we didn’t spend much time gazing out the windows. * Like many hotels, they appear to have a motion detector that shuts the ac off it there is no movement. We woke up at 4:00am due to the room no longer being cool. But after we walked around, it kicked back on. All in all we had a great experience celebrating there. I would recommend the hotel, restaurant, and especially the rooftop bar to friends and family."

"Went to the Roof Top Bar for happy hour after work. First time here and it was nice even if the doors were closed because it was raining.. Sat at the bar and our server was good. We did not order any of the bar appetizers, as there was not much that I could have except maybe the charcuterie board, but didn't want all that extra salt at that time, I do wish they had maybe a little bit different choice. But it is what it is. Looking forward to going back when weather is better!"

"This hotel is beautiful!! As a frequent traveler, it can be hard to tell if a hotel is going to be as nice as it looks - this one is! The room was large and clean. The bathroom was also large and clean. The bed was comfortable. You can tell that there is attention to detail. We also hit the rooftop bar and it’s a really cool spot with a nice view! The drinks were good as was the service and atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place, and we will be back."
