"I have used Pain Plus for my medical marijuana prescription for 3 years. I was referred to him by another doctor who I have been seeing for 8 years. He explains everything very thoroughly and makes recommendations on what will help your specific condition. He’s great!"

"I will be proceeding with a formal complaint of this Company with the Joint Commission and the AHCA, as well as Risk Management with Broward Health as this Doctor has no business providing service to patients. “Dr. K” a “healthcare professional”, was arrogant and disinterested and dismissive in care of patients other than guiding them to ‘the final stage”. He “declared” that a woman on Dilaudid was able to make decisions on her own- which was proven false. This is when 3 family members were known and legally documented health care surrogates were present. (2) On that false pretense Cerner notes confirm that he changed a full code in a hospital setting to a DNR without speaking to single family member, when he was confronted on why he said “because he could”. (3) Arrogantly dismissed legal standing for consent from 3 family members- and sent mixed messages outside of his specialty and opined on matters of nephrology and renal failure which he is not qualified. (4) Incorrectly made a suggestion for a sedative “Xanax” when someone had shortness of breath when it was due to cardiac preload after laying supine for 9 days following surgery. Please everyone reading this should proceed with caution related to why Hospice is covered 100% by Medicare and the incentives to usher those whom are close to this decision. I am fan of appropriate Hospice as I lost my father to Cancer when I was 9 years old and I have spent 30 years in Health care, but his was a disgusting show of priorities OTHER than the Patient and the Family. Finally before he was blocked from seeing this patient anymore, he came in one last time and stated “well your kidneys are dying and you should consider your plan for peace”. The problem is that he was wrong, and speaking out of his scope and speciality. Less than 2 days later it was deemed by an actual nephrology MD/ that she did not need dialysis and was discharged 3 days later and is now resting at home. My Mother and the Family is so thankful she was not ushered to “Heaven” by this party. Related to another posting, -ever wonder what a business person is a white coat (and short hair) looked like? Look no closer than right here."

"Dr. Kowalski is the best doctor I have ever seen in my life. He really cares about you and as long as you are honest he is one of the nicest people I've ever met and I always look forward to seeing him and he is just an amazing guy. Really a one-in-a-million doctor. His secretary is very professional and if you need something done she will try to help you and she and he also gets things done like prior authorizations and stuff like that. Absolutely, absolutely recommend this doctor for anybody!"

"Ever wonder what Jesus would look like with short hair? Dr. Kowalski is a great Doctor who cares about his patients. His personality is laid back but he works tirelessly to make sure he serves his community. One thing I am happy to see is his firm professionalism. He will do everything to help you with your pain but also makes sure patients are given the correct treatment, at the correct dose, to avoid the problems that led to the Opioid epidemic. Can't recommend him enough."

"In November 2018 my lovely wife, Vicki, found out she had stage 4 bladder cancer. Her bladder was removed at U Health in Miami. They thought they had taken care of the problem but in April it came back with a vengeance. It was then that we discovered that she had stage four lung cancer. She was receiving chemo at U Health in Plantation but we felt we could do better in the Palliative Care department. So we found Dr. Kowalski.. From the outset Dr. Kowalski was extremely professional.. After a thorough review of her case Dr. Kowalski proscribed pain and nausea medication that helped my wife have as much quality of life as possible under the circumstance. Throughout the entire ordeal in which my wife, sadly, passed away in August 2019 he was there for us. In fact Dr. Kowalski was the only medical professional who actually told us the truth about what to expect. Dr. Kowalski has a kind and compassionate manor that gives one confidence that the situation is in as much control as it could be. Even after she entered Hospice Dr. Kowalski was there to ensure she wasn't given too much medication that she couldn't have last moments with her children. Sometimes its the little things that mean so much. He found out that she loved diet Pepsi so he brought her one while she was in the stage where she could only have moisture in her mouth but could not swallow. You could see the pleasure that brought her on her face. I will always remember that and appreciate him for that. That is true compassion and care. I will highly recommend Dr. Kowalski for your Palliative needs."
