"Brought our dog here for an emergency walk in visit for severe vomiting and lethargy. Vet took him back and immediately gave him a can of wet food when I explained that he couldn’t even hold water down. The vet here kept trying to push an allergy injection and antibiotic injection at 400 bucks! He blamed pollen sllergies when first, my dog doesn’t suffer allergies and this is an acute emergency issue and secondly, he was profusely vomiting all water, food and blood. This is absurd! I denied the shots and he told me he’d send home a 55 dollar med to “make him stop puking”. I purchased the med and left. Once I got in the car I realized they gave cipro antibiotic which is contradicted in sick dogs. I was so angry but just drove home. My dog proceeded to vomit the wet food he gave him all over the house with blood and I rushed him to healthy pets urgent care! They were appalled at the vets lack of judgement, gave him three injections (anti nausea, antacids) including fluid and two other meds to bring home and saw him again this morning. He is incredibly improved! Altamonte 436 uses dirty thermometers rectally for dogs, the place is disgusting, the vet shouldn’t be practicing at all! He’s irresponsible and completely uneducated. This vet has no idea what he is doing! After I went to the new vet I walked back in to altamonte 436 and demanded a refunded for the wrong med they gave which they agreed to but had I not known better who knows what would have happened. Sadly I can’t get my visit refund back but this is a lesson learned. I will never step foot in here again."

"I love this place. I’ve been taking my pets here a while. They can usually get you in for an appointment within a day or two and sometimes you can walk in. The prices are very fair. The Vet is from the Bahamas and he’s very nice and wonderful with the animals. The place is basic and no frills but when you have multiple pets what matters most is the costs and the great care not pretty pictures on the walls."

"Pet owners BEWARE! This place is filthy! They offer cheap prices because they save so much money on not PROPERLY cleaning and sanitizing. My experience there was nothing short of a nightmare, and I would strongly advise pet owners to avoid this establishment at all costs. The unsanitary conditions at Altamonte Pet Doc Hospital were shocking and unacceptable. I witnessed dirty surgical equipment being reused on multiple animals, unsanitary stations, and even feces on thermometers. The unsanitary conditions at this facility are not only unethical but also pose a severe risk to the health and safety of your pets.
