"I started seeing Dr. Tar not quite a year ago and was happy with him up until now. His staff is atrocious. They cut you off mid-sentence then get mad because they don't understand what you need. They make you jump through hoops to get prescriptions refilled, causing mussed doses. My latest Humira script contained a defective pen. The manufacturer required the doc approve a one-pen replacement and it was refused for a variety of reasons, given to me by the inept staff. After numerous phone calls to his office and the manufacturer over the course of three weeks, I finally walked into his office to get things immediately cleared up. They wouldn't help, gave me lame excuses, and upon my insisting of an answer to resolve my issue, threatened to call the police unless I left. Needless to say, I'm no longer their patient. Find someone else, no matter the distance."

"The worst office staff you could ever imagine. Unprofessional, ghetto personality by Kim the the front receptionist. Shows zero empathy or problem solving skills and a habitual liar. She made an error and tried to lie about it and acted like no biggie but as a patient I paid the price! I would strongly urge Dr Tar to hire staff members that care and have a degrees not from the dog sitting category!! Also, the office manager has zero manners or problem solving skills. She wanted to argue with me in front of patients until I “the patient” asked her to discuss this in a room without patients in the waiting area! As a result, those two, Matea and Kim are the worst people I have been treated by in my 15 years as a healthcare professional. Matea and Kim need to go work at Walmart since they care zero skills and don’t care to communicate with sick patient! Have them stock the shelves and clean the bathrooms because that’s where they belong."

"My Primary Dr. recommended Dr.Tar. 24 hours after visiting with Dr. Tar and using the medicine he prescribed. I was able to walk, get out of bed, hold a coffee cop with coffee in it and get up off the toilet by myself. I’m now back to walking a mile a day, lifting weights, and cleaning my house by myself. Dr. Tar Is a GREAT DOCTOR."

"I have been a patient for years here. I was given an appointment for six months out. I then realized that six months was coming up or had passed so I called and they told me that I had no appointments in their system. That was odd to me so I made another appointment again no one called me to confirm my appointment. So today I called and was informed that they will no longer see me because I missed my appointments. That was never in their system. Yet they go through front desk staff like crazy. I do not recommend this office they seem fine at first. I was also hung up on."

"The only reason I give this office a 2 and not a 1 is because Dr. Tar is personable along with a select few staff of recent. Reason why they deserve a 1, in my opinion: 1) The office is a mess! Patients can see what look like hoarding while getting blood drawn. Does not give the best impression. 2) One of the Patient rooms is not private as the walls don't go all the way to the ceiling. Therefore, everyone in the waiting room is privy to everything that is said. 3) The staff will yell across the office instead of picking up a phone or walking to the other room. Very unprofessional! 4) Your next appointment, as per Dr. Tar, will be set for further than 3 months out. However, office policy is no perscription refills unless you are seen every 3 months. When this is pointed out, Dr. Tar seems to cave to the office staff as if he is not in charge. 5) Office staff has no issue being rude on the phone or in person. I have quite a few examples, but I will not go into detail. The rudeness is any where for impatience to hanging up mid conversation.... mind you, no one has yelled or used profanity which I feel warrants a hang up. 6) Cash or check for full payment prior to being seen. So 20th century! I get it if they are avoiding credit card company fees, but electronic check or debit cards at least would be great. 7) Receiving bills in the mail for a past due balance when paid is due prior to being seen. I was turned away once because I don't have checks and I didn't have enough cash. I ran to the nearest ATM and came back. Leave a message to talk to the billing person, but never get a return call, only another bill. Apparently, they figure out their mistake eventually, because at the next appointment nothing is said about any part due balance. No apology or any other acknowledgement. The unfortunate thing is he is 1 of 2 rheumatologist in the area. Update: I found a new doctor (out of town). The new doctor requires medical records to be faxed prior to scheduling. Dr. Tar's offices refuses to fax them unless the new office faxes a request. Why does this horrible office have to be so difficult. The new office has compassion and is willing to go the extra mile to request patient records for a new patient that isn't even theirs yet. Reduced to 1star!!!!"
