"Best animal hospital around. I drive from Pompano to here every time my pups has an issue. Jody, the veterinarian, and staff are just incredible. My dog had a GI issue since he was a puppy. Other vets cost me thousands of dollars for nothing. Animal care is the only vet that spend the time listening and diagnosing the real cause. As a pet owner and proud dog mom, I trust the integrity of this establishment and feel safe knowing that my dog is getting properly cared for. "Dr. Thannum has been our vet for almost 15 years. When we first came to her at Extra Care Animal Hospital, we were seeking care for a medically-fragile kitten, and Dr. Thannum was highly recommended to us by my sister-in-law (a dog trainer and fellow animal lover). She exceeded all of our expectations from the very beginning. She has cared for our cats and dogs with complicated medical needs (autoimmune hemolytic anemia, hypothyroid, feeding tubes, cancer) as well as everyday concerns. She is exceptionally knowledgeable and will not hesitate to do additional research and consult with other doctors when she needs more information to provide the best care possible for your pets. She has consistently gone above and beyond for all of our animals, and I know she loves all of her patients as though they were her own pets.
