"Severely understaffed, long waits for checkout, not a store you will get in and out of quickly."

"Went there to get one of the kids birthday balloons there was two cashiers checking out customers when we got there since balloons are up front I noticed the one with the eyeliner yelling on her phone about some sort of card issue she was having personally. Once we got the balloons we went and stood over at the register for 15 minutes right in front of both cashiers and instead of checking us out the one stayed on the phone talking with the other one about what she was doing in the phone. Finally I told the kids we were leaving i than asked for the number to the store that’s when she asked why and I explained we’d been standing there for over 15 minutes waiting to be checked out I’ve waved at you etc to get your attention and you’ve ignored me to be on your phone. She than continued by saying she didn’t know the store number so I said that’s fine google has it. I went to the parking lot and called the store that’s when the other cashier that was there answered and told me she wasn’t going to get the manager and hung up on me. Now whenever I call its conveniently one of them and they hang up on me! I would like to know how to escalate this! Next step I’m going to try and call another store to find a number to escalate. That’s not how you treat customers!"

"The lady @ the counter didn't greet me and was still talking to her coworkers as she rang me up, walked away in the middle of ringing me up, without a word said to me....came back n had an attitude. I asked if she was ready 2 help me now and she said she would not b disrespected by me and I said u were the one who disrespected me from the beginning. She told me I could leave the store. I told her I would like her to finish checking me out she said no I will not do that. I wanted 2 speak with manager and she said hi I am right here. I said seriously. And then she told the people behind me she could take the next person. I said u could finish my order first. She said no, I throw my items back on the counter and left. The rudest customer service person I have EVER had. I go 2 this Family Dollar ALOT and I will not b treated like that.There are plenty if other stores to shop at."

"I was on that line for 15 min waiting for Erica to come help her fellow coworker with a customer's coupon. Guess where Erica was , Erica was outside having a full blown conversation with her friend. Her coworker said "she's been out there for 30 minutes smoking and talking" .. This family dollar is extremely dirty , and all the workers look high ... Very ghetto ... definitely wouldn't recommend going there... take the drive to the one on Joel its way cleaner and the employees are actually in the store ... that poor woman was lost calling for Erica being that there was no intercom.."

"Seems like there is new management. Shelves well stocked. Aisles were clear. Coolers were all working and stocked nicely. Cashier was friendly and got us all taken care of quickly."
