"Most Winn Dixie’s are pretty grimy but this one is the worst I’ve seen. Every time I go there the store reeks of cigarettes as soon as you walk up. Employees are always sitting out front smoking as well. I’m not suprised to see that the Winn Dixie brand is going out of business."

"Went to Winn-Dixie on route 17 Burmont Rd. in Punta Gorda picked up some roses that looked fairly good when I picked them up in a small plant. Got them home. They were cutting them to put them in the vase. Found four that were broken off that couldn’t be seen when we bought them And all the leaves on the lower parts of the stems are dying. Bought a small plant at the same time. Turns out that the inside of the plant was all dying. The outside look good. The reality was quite different. When I called to speak to a manager, I was greeted by a gatekeeper who simply said bring them back and will replace them. Replace them with what the same junk that I already bought! Never been impressed with Winn-Dixie frankly, but this is just one example of how second-class Third World country that organization really is. Go back again, rather go to Dollar General!"
