"Older but very quaint playhouse in the center of Lake Worth. Some lot and street parking available which usually is readily available. We seen may performances there and most were very well done. However, the drag show performance was not one of those. Although the costumes and stage scenery was well done, the performance itself was not. Singing was lip synced and the conversation amongst preformers was at times impossible to hear. It appeared more about a bunch of friends getting together, having a few drinks(literally), and talking amongst themselves."

"We have been affiliated with the playhouse in one way or another (acting, directing, BOD, etc.) since it was located in the old city hall on Dixie highway back in the early 70s. We've seen many shows over the years, from very good to very bad. We recently saw their production of West Side Story, it was one of the very good shows we've seen there. The cast was large, young and very talented. We thoroughly enjoyed the show. If you've never been to the old Oakley Theater (The current Lake Worth Playhouse) you owe it to yourself to check it out. Its been beautifully restored and it's like stepping back in time to when it was an old Vaudevillian Theater...and it's reportedly haunted by Mr. Oakley himself!"

"Just saw my first show at Lake Worth Playhouse and it was a fabulous production of West Side Story. The staging dancing and singing was great. Every member of the cast was fantastic, but I must give a special shout out to the two actors that played Tony and Maria. Thanks for the enjoyable afternoon!!!!"
