"Went in for a quote and they gave me a form to fill out which required me to write down my social security number. I’m not comfortable giving just anyone a social security number just for a quote. They also started copying the title and drivers license. Why is my information being copied when I haven’t agreed to an insurance contract? When I expressed that I didn’t want to write down the social security number the lady got an attitude and said if I didn’t trust her to go somewhere else which is exactly what I did. I was not asked to give a social security number to any other company I got a quote from. The office is small, unorganized and cluttered. Why would I trust someone I just met with that type of information? Definitely wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone."

"COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. I have been a customer of theirs for over 2 years, I called them earlier today mentioning I would be in shortly, that I had forgotten something and had it Uber Packaged to their office, and asked if they could hold it at the desk for me… they said “yes not a problem” gave them my name and account information and were aware of situation. Once I got to the office they opened the door, handed me my package (just my wallet!). Starting YELLING at me… “JESSICA, HOW DARE YOU! WE HAVE A BIG PROBLEM! I HAVE BEEN ARGUING WITH UBER FOR THE LAST 30 MINUTES! I DONT WANT YOU EVER IN THIS OFFICE AGAIN! YOU ARE NO LONGER A CUSTOMER HERE!” I just looked at them as they kept yelling at me, grabbed my things and left… not going to lower myself to that level… and I will take all my business elsewhere. I say again this is very UNPROFESSIONAL because I have been a customer of their for over 2 or 3 years, they get mad at ME…. yet to mention again, I called in advance to confirm if that was okay, and they said “YES NO PROBLEM”…. And then for them to publicly yell and confront me before even stepping in their office making a huge scene… again, COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I have read some of these other bad reviews, and I completely see where they are coming from! JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVEN’T HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THEM YET, JUST WAIT FOR IT, YOU WILL!! I would definitely recommend looking for another agency before using Carter Insurance. I have always been kind, and prepared when speaking with them and in their office. But this was completely uncalled for. And instead of yelling at ME…. They should be yelling at their EMPLOYEES, because I did what I was supposed to do!!! Good luck!!! Another thing, just being reading their reviews and their responses, just can tell just right there the CONSTANT NEGATIVE RUDE ATTITUDE YOU CAN EXPECT if or when you do go there. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, and only somewhat friendly when they get something out of you!"

"They are a terrible company. They will have you to pay one thing to trick you with them but once your money has processed they will send you a different payment schedule with a different price. The customer service line isn't any better, they don't even try to assist you, they just try to get you off the line. One star is being way too generous they don't even deserve a half of a star."

"Very unprofessional work environment. On multiple occasions while calling, I was told to wait 30 minutes and call back. Every time I called back I was told the same thing 4 different times. The workers are rude and unhelpful as they tell you to figure it out yourself. There was an instance where my mom was told to leave because they couldn’t help her, so instead of telling her that theres nothing they can do, they simply threw her out. Had them as our auto insurance agency for around 2 years and it has always been like this. Stay as far away as possible if you want to keep your money and dignity."
