Club Pilates

"I’ve started my Pilates journey five months ago. For reference, I am not new to exercise and I am a yoga teacher. Here are my pros and cons of Club Pilates. Pros: - Pilates in general is great. It has improved my overall strength and has helped me with my yoga practice which I didn’t expect. I felt out of shape because I had recently given birth to my second baby and I feel a lot stronger after five months of practicing Pilates. - Club Pilates has classes all day long, seven days a week BUT there is almost always a waiting list (see below). - The studio in Doral is very clean. - The app is easy to use. - Most inexpensive Pilates studio in the area, probably because it’s 12 students per class as opposed to 6 (see below). Cons: - The waiting list for each class is a BIG con. The way it works is that your credits/classes are available the day you get billed, for example on the 29th of each month. I am not exaggerating that when my classes become available there are classes waitlisted two weeks out. So, I am always stressed trying to use up my 8 classes before the month is over so that I don’t lose them. Sometimes you get lucky with the waitlist, sometimes you don’t. In my opinion, they oversold memberships and it’s an unfair situation where sometimes I am the 10th person on a waitlist and I’m nervous about not being able to use my credit. This is their biggest con and something that makes me want to cancel if it doesn’t improve. - Traditional Pilates has 6 students per class, but at Club Pilates, there are 12 students per class which makes the experience more impersonal. I recently took a level 2 class where I felt so ignored that I was scared of hurting myself and held back because I wasn’t getting any assistance from the instructor. Before I chose Club Pilates I went to two other traditional Pilates studios in Doral with six students per class, and the difference is night and day. - Speaking of impersonal, the instructors are not very personable in my opinion. I’ve been going 1-2 times weekly and not one instructor knows my name. They’re like robots who lack a personal touch. Some of them are more into their own social life and vanity to even acknowledge that you’re there or say hello when you enter. The front desk staff is very friendly, however. Overall I would say this Club Pilates is okay, but not great. The biggest drawback is the waitlist. If you’re someone who works or has a family and has limited availability, I would be prepared to deal with waitlists and last-minute stress trying to use up your monthly classes which don’t roll over."

"I did the tryouts yesterday as my mother in law won’t stop talking about this Pilates studio , and I get the hype .The staff was extremely nice and helpful they tried walking me through everything pilates is about. I would definitely recommend coming to this studio. The entire experience was amazing"

The environment in the classes is great, the instructors are always trying to get the best in you! They are always willing to help you out, most importantly they know what they are doing. From Agatha in the front desk who always has a smile and will do whatever it takes to make your day, to the instructors, whom take their job very seriously and make sure you leave feeling you had a good and safe workout. They are all true professionals and really know what they are doing. Pilates came at a perfect time in my life, now I don't know what I would do without it."
