"Family Martial Arts in Sunset is one of those very special places, the attention to each students needs, and the level of care the whole staff provides is an experience like no other. Sensei Kevin and Bill are true Masters when it comes to getting little kids to focus and engage in learning the set of skills that will last a lifetime. The mixture of fun with extremely complex martial arts is made with patience , integrity , and tons of passion. Unlike many other school were you feel your just a number..... at first I question why that choose the name Family Martial Arts, but quickly become so clear that these guys are all about family first ..... I'm very proud of this journey both my sons, an 8 year and a 5 year old have embarked on . It's been 3 years and they are as happy to come every session as the first day, they do family picnics at the park were hundreds of people show of and have an incredible time. If you are looking for a place we're your young ones can learn incredible life lessons and skills, under the hands of caring and loving Masters look no further. FAMILY MARTIAL ARTS IS THE BEST ....."

"I wish I could give this place a higher rating. The senseis are knowledgeable and the style of Karate is Goju Ryu which is one of the original forms of karate. The only reason I give this place lower stars is because it is one of the most dirtiest dojos I have been to. This place could use a remodel and some cleaning but the owners have not done anything about it. If you truly want to learn karate come to this place but don’t expect much cleanliness."

"We've been a part of FMA for over 6 years. All three of our children are currently students there and my husband has attended classes there in the past. It's a very family friendly dojo and the Sensei's are great with the kids. Sensei Kevin works really well with the kids and makes the classes fun and Sensei Bill does great with training and conditioning the kids. The younger Sensei's do well training the kids and have a lot of patience with them. I know my husband really enjoyed the adult classes as well. It's a great workout for all of the students, both kids and adults. Our kids have shown a lot of progress and continue to thrive. I always recommend FMA to our friends"
