"I just want to say how INCREDIBLE this dentist office is. The minute you walk-in the front desk ladies are nothing but smiles and great energy, making you feel extra welcome. I went ahead and sat down for no more than 20 minute before i got called. The lady that did my cleaning was so gentle that i was able to catch a snooze. Once the cleaning was done, Dr.Hernandez came to evaluate me. Dr.Hernandez was the sweetest ever!!! Thank you South Dental Homestead, i will continue to treat my smile with you guys!!"

"I've been a patient for over 10 years today I decided I've had enough. It's sad to see the quality of staff deteriorate as it has. From the front desk to the dental hygienist I must say the only shinning light in the place is Giovanna who I've seen rise to the occasion and provide great clear and friendly customer service since the first day I walked in. Today as every other time I walk in for my routine cleaning not too busy I ended up waiting over an hour to be called for my turn. I saw plenty of people leave. I was even told I would be next they were just cleaning the station. I fell asleep from how long I waited sitting right in front of the door. I'm a light sleeper so I would hear them call me. I finally ask the front desk who I'm sitting in front of "any idea why it's taking so long? she responds I don't know I thought they called you already". Right then the technician walks out calling my name during the entire session he maybe said 3 words to me. This was the worst cleaning I've ever had and I've had a few questionable ones that I just put up with saying to myself I would just request someone different next time just to find those techs whom apparently weren't employees anymore by my next appointment. When I say bad, this guy was like letting my 4 yr old brush my teeth. He missed more teeth than he cleaned same for the flossing and polishing. When he felt he was done, he just raised my seat, turned off the lamp and stood there...no words. I just walked out."

"I am the owner of a medical facility. I believe in fair and honest treatment of patients with full disclosure of procedures and pricing. I originally went to them because they are in the same building that my office is. I was told that they did not take my insurance. However, they had a special for exam and cleaning. The day that the "dentist" saw me, There was a massive communication problem because she did not speak english. However, she began telling the assistant in Spanish a series of procedures they were going to do. I stopped her and reminded her that I was only here for a cleaning. She acted annoyed that i refused the extra procedures, that turns out would have been thousands. I was then told I had to come back for the cleaning. Only half of my mouth was completed in the appointment and I was very shocked when I went to the counter and they told me I owed over a $300. I asked what about the special that I had come in for and I was told that what I had required was different than the special. Of course told this after the fact. So now I'm in a situation where I had to go back to finish the other half of my mouth and pay another 300 plus dollars. One of the young Ladies noticed I was visibly upset and later called me and said she spoke to her manager and was going to offer me a ten percent discount. I asked to speak to the manager, and once again was thrown into a difficult communication situation because she did not speak English. Very frustrating because had I been adequately communicated with, I would have just found another provider that took my insurance and wouldn't have to pay over 500 dollars. If you choose to go to this provider, I would make sure that they communicate everything to you and you have a full understanding before you agree to anything as to how much things are going to cost. Dr. Gregg Fiske DPT MSPT ..UPDATE TO OWNER RESPONSE... for all of those that read this lengthy response from the "owner"....note that none of the critical issues of patient communication and respect were addressed and the response included nothing close to a apology. Nearly three pages of say nothing. The bottom line is that they didnt give me any type of prior information to what they were going to do and then surprised me at the end. The other bottom line is that the first "dentist" that saw me did not speak any English at all. A medical office in the United States should have practitioners that speak English on some level. Patients deserve respect and should not have to fight for it."
