"My visit with Dr. Melchert was great. She took time during our appointment and explained everything related to my condition throughly. It was obvious that she is a very empathetic person. I am happy to be under her care. Everyone else within the office was ver nice, as well."

"Florida Cancer Specialists of Brandon is the only reason I was able to get my medication. My insurance had changed and I was without any type of disease modifying therapy for 6 months. My doctor's office just couldn't get anything approved and I kept hitting brick walls. Somehow the staff here was able to get the necessary pre-approvals, it seemed miraculous. Everything about my doctor visit and infusion here went smoothly. The staff are skilled, professional, and compassionate."

"Dr Melchert and RNP Lauren were amazing. I consulted with Florida Cancer Institute for ovarian cancer.I came to her after being lied to by another prominent oncology surgeon. Scary. Thank you for referring me to the surgeon, for spending TIME talking about a good plan, being authentic, compassionate, caring. As a nurse, I practiced with these qualities and it’s comforting to know there are medical professionals who still care. Thank you for everything. Francene"

"My worst visit I have ever had there. I’ve been a patient for over 4 years. I am there once a month for a finger stick blood work to follow my blood thinners. I had a 9:15 appointment. I arrived about 9:10 but had to drive around the parking for 10 minutes to find a parking space. So I signed in at 9:20. There were few seats left in the lobby. It was over an hour later when I was called to the counter to receive my name tag. Over the two hour mark I noticed people who came in after me being called back by the staff I know work in the lab. So I went to the desk to see if I might have missed hearing my name called. I was told there were 3 ahead of me. I’m now at almost 3 hours. I got my call back and did my finger test and now had to wait on the nurse to tell me it was all good. She was very nice and understanding but I had a question that she would have to take to the doctor. I told her I had a 2:00 appointment a half hour away so she offered to call me with the answer later, which she did. I gave the 1 star for the lab personnel and the nurse but the lack of the other 4 stars is for who ever is in charge and allows the overbooking that creates this mayhem. It took me a total of 4 hours for what usually takes me 30 minutes . I realize there are people there for things other than blood work and I understand that many of them require blood work to be done prior to their procedures. I can’t imagine how much longer it would have been had I had to see the doctor this visit."
