The Coliseum

"My son, Milosz, 20, a pianist with autism (YouTube: Milosz Gasior Defying Autism with Music) performed at the Night to Shine Pinellas (an event sponsored by the @timtebowfoundation) in front of the Coliseum on February 10th, 2024. When it was time for the honored guests (persons with disabilities) to enter the building, a red carpet was rolled out in front of the Coliseum. When the honored guests and their “buddies” (neurotypical volunteers) entered the building, a well lit room decorated with colorful lights greeted them. Although the party had many guests, it was plenty of space for the many tables to sit at and also plenty of space on the dance floor. Parents and caregivers of the honored guests were allowed to sit and have dinner on the balcony. This was excellent since it allowed the loved ones with disabilities to feel independent and at the same time, the parents could be close by if needed. The venue was clean and had great acoustics. Highly recommend for a large gathering."

"The staff here are GREAT. They are kind, courteous and responsive. It’s always a pleasure when I find occasion to go to the coliseum whether it be for a trade show, to vote, or as a member of the community to speak with the staff. The building is beautiful, there is ample parking and you’re greeted with a smile at the door. Can’t ask for much more than that!"

"Really neat little hall, stage, bathrooms, parking, balcony. Fantastic for a wedding, large party or vending, or a small convention. AC works good. I went for anime st Pete convention, had a great time, far less intense and overwhelming than MetroCon Tampa, I arrived at 10 and left about 3. Get there early if you want to park on site. Tall people beware the side doors. I hit my head twice. They're more like low windows."
