The instructors work amazingly well with kids, they help students practice those soft skills that kids and teens are developing (teamwork, persistance, self-esteem, self-control ect.) and they truly care about their students. "My son has been a part of the On the Mat Program since he was in kindergarten. Since Jaxon is almost 9, we have been a part of the program for 4 years. I am an Early Childhood Educator and I have been very impressed with the program. This is a martial arts program that is focused on POSITIVE reinforcement. Master Melody and her staff are wonderful. They clearly care about the character development of each child. While they teach a class of children, they are focused on the individual needs of each child. They do a fabulous job of helping each child reach their individual goals. Not only do they do a wonderful job in the classroom, but on many occasions they have on their own personal time, committed to career day, talent shows, and many other extra curricular activities. They support their students in all areas of development. Our family has been very blessed with On the Mat. The program was a God send for our child. His confidence and social development has really improved since we became part of the program several years ago! I highly recommend On the Mat for any child. You will be blessed."
