"I took my son in for his first dental appointment. He’s 3.5 and does not like being touched. Even haircuts are a nightmare. When calling for an appointment, I gave them the heads up and they were so nice and understanding. They said we can schedule a “field trip” where he just looks around and if it leads to a check up, we can do that. No pressure, no problem! The office was very clean and looked super cool. My son was instantly into it. The receptionists greeted us with a smile and hello. They were very energetic and kind to my son. Once we were in, they let him walk around, showed him the tools and chair. He didn’t want to get his teeth brushed but he was never felt pressured or shamed. Eventually they did make him feel comfortable enough to check his teeth for cavities. So far our first appt was a success and it was a great experience. I highly recommend (and did to my friends already) this office. When it was time to go, my son said he was sad to leave. A++++"

"As a mom of three kids with special needs, I was terrified of going to the dentist with all of them on the same day and time. I must admit, I am greatly surprised. They are amazing professionals, and took all the time to make us comfortable (even put Bluey on the TV), explaining everything to my children and always proceeded kindly. "Wow! That is the first word that comes to mind when I'm asked for my opinion on this practice. I went bc of the good reviews & they did not disappoint. They are hard to notice bc they are next to Walmart in a plaza but this place deserves a stand alone building. The moment we walked in, the two front staff ( Stacey & Shana) were extremely happy and welcoming. In fact, I asked them what they were having in their coffees, so that I could have the same thing. They knew my kid's name, they had a whiteboard displaying their names as new patients for that day, which made my kids feel super loved. The office is completely clean, I love the decor because it's so engaging for children, this is a place where they don't feel they're at the dentist, it feels more like a place center or their bedrooms. We barely waited, we had the pleasure of meeting Keona & Allison who took their time cleaning their teeth. Dr Robyn was so down to earth, and when she approached us, I had no idea she would be the dentist, because she was so friendly and outgoing, she was speaking to us as if she had known us forever. My previous experience with the our previous kid's dentist wasn't the best since I felt like it was more of an assembly line than an actual office. This place certainly treats their patients completely opposite. After we were done with our visit, the doctor explained everything in detail, and she did not make any attempts to oversell me on any products or procedures. My kids received a goodie bag as well as a small toy gift coming out that they got to choose from. Needless to say, now they want to come back more frequently. "We love smile builders. My oldest has been going for 14+ years and my youngest just started at 18 months. Everyone in the practice is warm, patient, kind, and inviting. I’d first began taking my daughter because it was important to me that she not go into an X-ray room alone and at that time (2008/2009) Smile builders tampa was the closest pediatric dentist I could find that allowed me to stay with her at all times. I happily drove 30+ minutes to dentist appointments and am now thrilled they have a Dunedin location as well. Best service all around. Couldn’t be happier. My kids love going to the dentist."
