"Called around 3 pm to let the office know that I’ll be arriving at 4:05 pm to my 4pm appointment. Receptionist told me that she called me and spoke with me saying that the doctor (Carlos Piniella) was going to leave early (we did not speak about this since I was at work, only had a missed call). Please keep in mind that I had to leave early from work to make it to this appointment. When I arrived they made me fill out paperwork just like any other place. What struck me was the level of attention, his assistant gave me an allergy test that I had already taken via blood work (a lab result that they should of had). The doctor spends about two minutes giving me information that I already knew from my previous blood test and doctor visit (my doctor gave me a general explanation, which is why it was recommended that I visit an allergist aka Dr. Piniella) and telling me to come back for another appointment because they need to run more tests. I found this behavior to be odd, so I tried to uncover whether or not the doctor had his best interest for my health. I told him that I’ve had very bad reaction to hazelnut when in actuality it’s walnuts that I’m severely allergic to (see picture attached of his visual results). In the picture you will see that his results show a level 4 out of 5 for hazelnut and 0 out of 5 for walnuts. I’m not in the business for “gotcha” moments but I do care for the level of service I receive, specially when I pay for it. Now, I do not work in the medical field but common sense dictates that this doctor was just trying to get rid of me so he could get to his dinner reservation (heard him on the way out while I was paying for the “consultation”). In my opinion, it was very unprofessional how they handled my appointment/case/health. I would suggest that you find another allergist who doesn’t put you at risk (he did prescribed an epi pen…thanks I guess) and who will dedicate the same amount of care to each patient that have booked an appointment with. Ps. This was my first and last visit"
