"After spending 2 nights in the ER at West Boca MC, with all the commotion, trauma stress etc. that a person had to go thru when an ER visit is inevitable, I had the unpleasant time to have to have the discharge clearance from this so call Dr. Yes, he deserves even 10 stars review. All of those for the most egocentric, condescending, arrogant, unprofessional, out of date medical knowledge, rude, I can go on an on with the most negative adjectives possible that can describe this person. Whatever years of experience you sir say you may have, are worthless when you treat PATIENTS with no respect, and nonprofessional behavior. I am 59 yrs old, and never in my life had to deal with a person with a dr diploma like this louis gold. Institutions like West Boca or Bethesda or any other, should really consider more than 5 times to allow this individual to step foot in their premises to see patients specially when in distress. This man is the one that needs a psychiatric treatment, so he can get out of his own elevated world. You sir need to retire and don’t put more patients thru what me and apparently many others had to go thru when we had the painful time to see you. For me, I had no choice because that’s what the hospital had to use for clearance, but if anyone else need a professional help, please stay away from this person."

Dr. Gold is one of the most experienced doctors in the area and he is able to explain medicine on a level I can understand and make decisions about. Dr. Gold has high moral ethics and I always know I am in a set of competent hands under his care."

"He is the worst doctor I have ever encountered. SHAME ON BETHESDA HOSPITAL FOR IGNORING ALL THESE REVIEWS. I complained to the head of the hospital when my mom was recovering from hip surgery and had the bad luck of meeting Dr. Gold, and yet I believe he is still employed there. It’s a disgrace. AVOID THIS DR. AND AVOID BETHESDA HOSPITAL! NEITHER CARE!!!"

"I leave one star as less than that is not an option. This Dr. is the most apathetic doctor I have ever spoken to. From the beginning of my conversation he was arrogant, and dismissive when I was asking how he determined his diagnosis of my father. Because of his diagnosis my father was not accepted in a rehab center of choice. When I asked Dr. Gold to explain how he came to his diagnosis he said he didn't need to "go into that" with me, that he was "a Psychiatrist, that's how I came to the diagnosis." He further said to "take it up with the attending physician of the rehab," instead of taking accountability for his actions. He simply brushed me off. He said the denial of service was not his "concern." 52 years too many of service (or lack thereof)."

"Horrible doctor with no kindness or compassion towards his patients. I understand that he has A LOT of experience with psychiatry (as he kept saying in the office) but I would not recommend him to anyone dealing with anxiety or depression because he does not know about helping his patients WITHOUT prescribing medications. I went to talk to him about my anxiety and depression and he was so rude and no help because I told him I wanted to do group therapy and not the psychopharmacology route that he was saying for me to do. On top of that, he charged me $100 just to talk to him for 10 minutes. Wasted my time and money that day."
