"This used to be my regular OBGYN office. I never had a bad experience here, until about 8 months ago. I came in for my yearly visit and mentioned chronic abdominal pain, to which Dr. Amore recommended an ultrasound (the next logical step and I’m very happy she did!). I don’t need to go in to great detail, but the findings were unusual. I brought up laparoscopic surgery as an option because I was desperate for an answer and relief. Dr. Amore expressed to me that there would be no point in performing surgery and my only solution would be to switch to oral birth control. My intuition told me to seek a second opinion. This second opinion was somewhat appalled by what the previous OBGYN had said. Fast forward to a few days ago where I received my laparoscopic surgery. We found pretty severe endometriosis - something I never would’ve known I had if it weren’t for surgery. I’m so thankful my second opinion wanted to seek out answers with me instead of dismissing my worries. I’m not sure if Dr. Amore wasn’t experienced in the ultrasound findings and therefore didn’t feel comfortable with surgery or what - but I still, 8 months later, am very disappointed in my treatment here and I’m so glad I got a second opinion elsewhere."
