"I have worked for Autumn for the past four years and I can honestly say that she is able to encourage such a positive, educationally-focused environment for the children and the staff. Not only was her idea to bring an educational summer camp to Sarasota innovative, but she trusts her professional, certified educator staff to bring fun and engaging academic content to SSI kids. As an educator, I have loved the trusted autonomy she gives us staff members to provide students with a curriculum that is not focused on test scores but rather on the “Be Better” values. As SSI teachers, we are encouraged to infuse into our curriculum SSI’s core values (respect, gratitude, responsibility, friendship, kindness, and helpfulness). By combining a humanist education into our teaching, we are able to help guide our students towards their fullest potential through the fun academic content we cover over the summer months and over school breaks. Working for Autumn as an educator has been one of the best professional decisions I have made and I thank God for her dedication not only to her program, but more importantly to the children we serve."
