"If I could give zero stars, I would. I just had the nastiest experience here with a woman that I’ll attach the photos since she did not want to give me any proper names. From traffic and juggling a toddler and an infant, I arrived at the office at 8:15AM. I walked through the doors of the office at 8:20. After sitting down and waiting, I was told that my child, who suffers from extreme eczema and has a milk allergy, would not be able to be seen today. I would need to reschedule to April. I asked if there’s anyway she could still be seen today given the wait room was empty and there’s usually a wait time anyway. I was told that there were other patients being seen. I was also told that there was a STRICT 15 minute grace period given. I was never given this strict grace period “consent form” that she said that I was given. She later admitted that it would be given AT the appointment. Just very rude and a liar. I came back into the office and could hear the ladies speaking negatively about me; maybe it was because of my appearance, I rushed to get there or maybe it was because I’m black with two kids that she felt she could address me the way she did. I had to inform her that I’m a lawyer and know this is not right. I asked for the doctor’s information via a business card. She told me she did not have a business card with that information which I knew was a lie. I then asked if she could write it down. Nope. She proceeded to give me an appointment card with no information on it. I asked if I could speak to the doctor I was to see. Nope. She admitted then that she was not seeing patients, as stated earlier, but supposedly not even in the office. If my daughter was scheduled to get allergy tests done, how is the doctor already gone? After pressing her, she finally gave me a business card with the doctor’s information on it. So the same person who is so strict on policy, blatantly lied to my face. I understand why this office has such a low rating. I turned down another appt and will just keep my appt with Nemours."

"Tried to make an appointment for my daughter with no luck, called multiple times they kept me on hold so long I had to hang up they haven't called back. Can't imagine the poor service they provide if there's no communication."

"I took my son and daughter to the Lakeland location and they were seen by Kristen Crumpton, Nurse Practitioner. What a wonderful experience! I can't say enough about how awesome Kristen was. She was thorough, informative, kind, funny and just all around, fantastic. No other dermatologist had ever informed me that my past medical history increased my children's exposure to skin cancer! What I loved was that Kristen was so deliberate about being proactive regarding getting prior authorization from the insurance company for my son's prescription--she didn't wait for the insurance company to ask for the authorization--she sent the authorization immediately, while we were still in the office. She understood how my son's condition was effecting him and wasted no time to help him. I will never go to another facility for dermatology care. Hands down, Kristen knows her stuff and cares about her patients! They have the friendliest staff ever and the level of care is just outstanding. Definitely give them a try. I'm beyond satisfied. Thank you Academic Alliance In Dermatology for making my children's first encounter with dermatology care such a positive one."
