"I made a review yesterday about a challenge we faced to receive our son’s medical records from BP. This is an edit/update. Within hours of communicating my concerns, a more senior individual contacted me by phone, apologized for the miscommunication from the staff member, and immediately fulfilled my request for our son’s records. This gesture alone - hearing from a senior person who is genuinely concerned about our families’ experience - is comforting and makes me feel that the mission supporting this office is to make sure our child is receiving the best pediatric care possible and the lines of communication are open the duration of care. "I love Baldwin Peds. My kids have seen all of the providers there but my personal favorite is Dr. Derrick. He’s great with both of my kids and I have a 4 y/o son and a newborn baby girl. He’s very informative and professional when he’s explaining their plan of care. Also the girls in the office are always nice & helpful as well. I also like that it’s always pretty quick when we go too, we’re in and out within an hour, if that!"

"My wife took my 9 month old in when she was sick. The dr told my wife that she was extremely dehydrated and we needed to rush to the emergency room now. The doctor even wrote us an excuse to skip the emergency room waitlist and be rushed back into a room. After the doctors in the emergency room assessed my daughter, they told me in fact she was not dehydrated and was perfectly fine and just needed some Pedialyte and let the cold run its course. After receiving the emergency room bill I spoke to the office manager, Amanda, where she told me they would not reimburse me for the cost of the bill for miss diagnosing my daughter."

"I don’t know where to start.. when I first brought my daughter here she was 3.5 months old and they prescribed her vitamin D and a poly vi sol iron (which has vit D in it also). So she would have 200% her dose of vD if I haven’t noticed. And they didn’t seem to care when I brought it up. Secondly it took roughly 4 phone conversations to get the prescription even correctly sent to the pharmacy. Thirdly, the referral lady incorrectly submitted my daughters referral to a PEDS surgeon multiple times and was rude to me over the phone. Also the receptionist at the surgeons office said they have had multiple issues with her. Fourthly, ever since they updated their system, I get roughly 5-10 robo calls a day telling me to schedule my daughter’s next appointment even though I already have had the appointment scheduled for 3 months now! And I keep getting sent bills when we should have no out of pocket costs. And I call them and they tell me “never mind we fixed it” multiple times now. Lastly, today they sent my daughter a different prescription and got the dosage wrong, nearly doubling it, so by policy the pharmacy didn’t feel comfortable giving it to me because it was suggesting a dangerous amount. I am an extremely patient and forgiving person but this place is just one thing after another.. highly do not recommend."

"Absolute worse pediatric office. They close the office due to flooding in the office and I tell them I need a Drs note still in order for her to be able to go to school. They refuse to give me a note that day even though they were in the office at the moment and tell me I have to wait until tomorrow. Well now I’m here and they refuse to give me a note for for today which I now need for her to be able to go to school today and for missing yesterday because the daycare won’t accept kids street 8:20am. I’ve now been sitting in the office for over 10 mins and the office manager has still yet to come out to speak with me. Ever since Dr. J left this place didn’t care about your children. He was the best pediatrician there. Nobody here and still not being helped."
