"There's just so many memories I made here. Beautiful staff and beautiful people all over the place, but the counselors may not be too helpful. Surely a place I'll miss as well and even though there were a few administration changes and overall school-wide improvements, there is definitely a place in my heart for this school.. Class of '17 Alumni"

"I call today and the operator contact me with the right person to give me information about vocational programs. In waiting, the pre-recorded message told me that I was contacting Alejandra. When this person answers me and I speak in Spanish, very clearly I listen as She hung up the phone. Maybe They should train the staff. It's a shame this public service has a poor customer service, God bless this person and give her the opportunity to receive a better education about to work in a public school."

"No one cares about the school and if you do the school will make sure you don't, by assign you horrible counselors who are never available or they just don't care. The only thing they care is work less and make their work easier. You walk out of this school without any idea of what to do next in college. If you care about your future just think twice before going to Miami Sunset otherwise if you just want to chill in high school welcome to the place where the majority of students just go to eat the lunch."

"The new principal is quite motivational and is making a positive difference over the previous epoch from which older complaints were issued. My own communications through email to teachers and staff have been handled professionally. One might get caught in a game of phone tag calling the office, but some students work in the office as part of curriculum, so when they answer the phones there can be some minor difficulties. I did find some of those students to be well informed and quite willing to help to the best of their abilities. The new school year (2015-2016) is now fully under way, and while improvements may still be in order it's clear they are progressing, and are responsive to parent concerns and requests. The current principal, John Lux, is driven to make the school the best it can be. The focus of his orientation speech for incoming freshmen made use of an impressive metaphor; he wants the students to be able to take the keys and drive the car, referring to preparation for adult life by taking responsibility and becoming an adult. Considering the national news focus on the school during the 2014-2015 school year, one may view the new administration engaged in a work in progress, one which is yielding results under a capable and dedicated principal."

"I have been trying for 3 days now to at least talk to someone about my Transcripts...each time I've spoken to a woman receptionist who doesn't seem to have a very positive attitude, and that's putting it lightly. I would just like to at least leave a message with the person because I need them for a course that's coming up...I realize that this will be a mission, which is why I've started early...and I'm very happy with that decision based on the way I've been treated. Please if any of the staff can help, I'd very much appreciate it, because whoever the woman is on the other end of the phone is not willing to help at all."
