"Update 1/7/2024: I decided to take the MSF course at MTII (MDC North Campus) and now have a different baseline. The coaching and facilities (e.g. bikes) at CDL tech were awful - what a waste of time and money. I withdraw several of my more neutral/positive comments. The learning environment at CDL was demeaning, rushed and antagonistic. I personally don’t believe that insulting and berating new riders will maximize rider success. I am still trying to figure out what my CDL rider coach was trying to accomplish with her “unique” coaching style. Simulating “live-fire”? Attempting to make students so on edge and nervous in a simulation that they’ll perform well under pressure on public roads? I failed to notice any carryover/application.The whole experience at CDL when compared to MTII could be summarized as “unhinged”. When I enrolled in CDL’s MSF course months ago I paid for a service: coaching, instruction and an exam - not to be disrespected…in hindsight I should have walked out. If you enjoy a train wrecked para-military style of instruction this is your school! —————— Original 3 star review No negativity toward my rider coach. I definitely left the course a better/more knowledgeable rider. Not quite the style of instruction that works best for me but to each their own. I took two stars away bc I was very disappointed in having to change out my bike three times during the two day period. All three had a different feel. As soon as I got used to one, it would break down. This definitely didn’t provide me with a foundation of comfort and confidence during portions of the final assessment. I’m a new rider, I wasn’t able to adapt quickly to a new clutch/friction zone that often. I felt like the riders that had the same bike the entire course had a small advantage. Just my thoughts/experience/opinion…i understand “beaters” should be used for beg.foundation courses but the state of the bikes from MY perspective was pretty damn rough."

"I am currently going. Be warned. If you are. Person of color go somewhere else. And if you want to learn anything go somewhere else. They don’t teach you anything and then tell you after you paid them and scheduled your exam that you have to pay additional for an online course. I asked when I first signed up what was everything I needed to pay so I could avoid this type of situation. If you ask the instructor’s anything forget it. They don’t want to show you. Give you half explanations instead of just doing their job and teaching you anything or even sticking to your schedule they just take your money and wish you luck. Again I am currently attending this school. So if I fail I have to go and pay $3,000 to another school because this school doesn’t teach ppl of color"

"I absolutely love this school !!! Everyone is kind and knowledgeable! Very caring and understanding! Will always recommend! Excellent care as always. Staff is friendy and prompt, and they explain everything you need to know and . Highly recommend. Special thank you to the best instructors Andrei and Lazaro ! Absolutely awesome experience I'm going to miss everyone here. The instructors are basically like family and they truly care about you was succeeding. I knew nothing about tractor trailers prior to going there, and I graduated. For me it took a great deal of sacrifice and hard work to learn a lot of information in a short period of time. But my persistence paid off and I felt very much supported by the school. It was all worth it in the end."

"Bad experience getting training at this school. Just imagine you’re promised to have your license within a month and you wait for 5 months!!! Whoa Imagine that your instructor Andrey tells you that you have to pay additional $200 via Zelle to him to expedite your exam date! Boom Imagine that you’re coming for your parking lessons and you were not scheduled. Imagine that you wait for 5 months and still don’t get your exam! Now if you want it to be your reality welcome to this school! By the way at the registration day I had Andrey running and following me to my car to get $200 to have my exam faster but when after a few months of training I’d call him to find out why I’m not scheduled for my exam he had all kinda excuses or simply wouldn’t pick up the phone! Save your time and nerves guys!"
