Tap 42 Craft Kitchen & Bar - Davie

"Everything was good except I think waiter should have come on the table more to ask if we needed anything else because I was looking for him to order more items and I had to keep asking other waitresses to order. This was my first time in this location and I've been twice invited in the Kendall location which I was pretty impressed and that is why I had invited my family telling them that this is an awesome restaurant. Honestly I was embarrassed by the way we were neglected! Also the food came out a little cold but the flavor was good also the calamari and the crispy fries were both very soggy! . I don't think I will dine or recommend anyone to this restaurant anymore, at least to this location!"

"Out of all the Tap locations I have been to, this has been my favorite. The service and food is always amazing. Unfortunately, after my visit this past Saturday, I will not be returning. I sat at the outside bar and for 10 minutes, not 1 employee looked at me. On top of that, next to me was a mess of cups and dishes from the last guest. Bus boys kept walking past it and not picking it up. Finally when a bartender turned around and saw me 10 minutes later, she took our order. After we placed our order, I asked if they could please clean up the space next to me. She gave me a look and said they would be cleaning it any second. This area was not cleaned for another 20 minutes. The bus boys only picked up the plates and the cups sat there until 2nd shift cleaned it up. She then went and talked about me to the other bartender and he looked at me shaking my head. Why would I want to eat sitting next to a dirty area? They have an army of employees and there is no reason it should be left there for more than 20 minutes. She then came back and said sorry, what drink did you want again, I lost my train of thought. If she wasn't so busy gossiping then that wouldn't have happened. We then received our order. My salad was delicious as always. My fiancé ordered the chicken rice bowl and it was cold. When we asked if they could reheat it, a manager came out with the most condescending response ever. She said that the beans and tomatoes come cold and wanted to know if we wanted it on the side. We said no, we just want the chicken and rice to be hot. Cold beans and tomatoes does not make chicken and rice cold, like seriously? On top of that, we could see the entire bar area and it was disgusting. Dirty coasters in the sink, a food bag from another restaurant in the sink, empty glasses just sitting there, not even being sent away to be washed. A dirty rag that they used to clean the counter was placed next to a clean champagne glass touching it. On 3 separate occasions, I watched other guests wait for someone to attend to them and nothing. They left, all 3 of them. Then the 2nd shift of bartenders came and they were 100% more attentive and cleaning up the mess the 1st shift left. We have been here many times and this was just so disappointing and honestly left us disgusted. We will definitely no longer be returning to this Tap 42. You guys need some major changes when it comes to hygiene and customer service."

"Good service + atmosphere, but I'm not here to eat the service... nor the atmosphere. The food was pretty decent but don't think I'd be writing home about it anytime soon. For $41.50, I thought the filet mignon would be sliding down my throat but after the 3rd bite + 67th chew I decided my dog would enjoy this more, so I saved it for him - he says 5 stars!! I - on the other hand - dug into my bf's meal instead. The ribs - whilst not fall-off-the-bone - did fill the gap. The flavour was more sweet & tangy than dark & smoky, and could've been a little more tender. I did enjoy the calamari until I was tired of it, and loved the sweet+sour sauce it came with. The Truffle Mac + Cheese was alright but not memorable, and the drinks hit the spot. Would I return? Possibly somewhere in the distant future."

"Just finished a great lunch at Tap 42. Elliott was a great waiter and made great recommendations. I had the chicken salad, delicious, and my friend had the lettuce wrap. Both were amazingly tasty. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Definitely coming back. Thank you, Tap 42."

"We came here to eat for our anniversary. But to be honest, it was not that great, not a lot of drinks to choose from and the food was ok. There are not a lot of choices . I wouldn't go back over all. I don't think I would even go here just to have drinks .. the cocktail I had was horrible. The flavor was not good."
