"It was a small intimate class. Loved the dinner we prepared. Soup, braised lamb, madrian orange sorbet. Served with excellent wine. Along with learning cooking techniques we also learned a great deal about Italy and their food."

"We had such a great day cooking with Giuliano! We learned so much, in a fun, and totally enjoyable way. The recipes were accessible, my granddaughter and I made the halibut with tomato sauce a few days later for our family. Everything was delicious, too. Thank you, Giuliano!!"

"What an incredible evening my husband and I had cooking with Giuliano and his lovely wife Lael. We are always looking for a great cooking class and after moving to Sarasota from NJ we were disappointed with the limited options here in Sarasota despite it being a very foodie town. Well look no further because this is the real deal. Fabulous kitchen in their beautiful home all set with work stations for 10 people. The other couples were so much fun to spend the evening with. Nobody has to be a serious cook to enjoy this. We learned so much about the ingredients we were cooking with and did tastings along he way as we all worked on the prep for the meal with gentle suggestions and tips from Giuliano along the way. A wonderful snack of Bresaola, Bianca Sardo and Pecorino Toscano with gorgeous aged balsamic and olive oil served with the perfect bread and an amazing Nino Franco Prosecco Superiore got the juices flowing as did the aroma of our now cooking meal. We also enjoyed his mother’s (Marcella, the cook and cookbook author who changed how Americans cook Italian food) Tomato Sauce, which is consistently the most requested recipe on NY Times Cooking. We all sat down for a beautiful meal after cooking the perfect dinner of Risotto with Shrimp and Zucchini, Aromatic Salmon in a Pouch, Marinated Green Beans, all served with a beautiful 2018 Donnafugata Nero d’Avola “Sherazade”. No dinner is complete without dessert and ours did not disappoint. We made an incredible Italian version of Carrot Cake. Best I’ve ever had. Great atmosphere, wonderful instruction all evening from Giuliano, fun couples to cook with and of courses the fabulous meal we all enjoyed at the end. We will be back!"
