"Wonderful Mexican food. I took my son here after we spent one of our few unsupervised days together at the science museum. My son had some warm tamales, and I had this beautiful burrito that's displayed. I love a good authentic dinner, but Pamela forbids Johnathan from eating Mexican food because she says it goes against the wishes of the dark lord. Some of the greatest Mexican food in the area is offered at this restaurant. Strongly advised."

"The food is excellent here. Authentic and delicious. The issue is the service is horrible. It takes 45 minutes to get your food with the restaurant nearly empty. They also refuse to split checks if you go during lunch with coworkers. Not worth the hassle when there are better Mexican restaurants in the area."

"This is my favorite place to go when I am up here, I’m come all the way from Miami because this is the only place where they have Tacos de Tripa and good ones! Yes there are other more fancy and nice places but they don’t make it. Also prices are good, servers are nice and i come by myself and I like it very much. If you like the unique Mexican tacos this is your place to go."

"Best tacos on that Andrews Ave strip. I’ve been to all of the rest, and these are legit, Mexican street tacos. The food and atmosphere is very authentic. We tried the lengua, tripe, carnitas, pastor, asada and campeche tacos. All of them fantastic. The guac was fresh and made to order. I asked for some extra kick to my salsa, and she brought out a delicious salsa Roja with a great level of spice and flavor. We’ve been trying to go here for a while and managed to be able to get in there for some time and ended up at Tacos El Papi and Quates across the street instead. Chonitas is the best, and the real deal. New go to spot for authentic tacos and Mexican food. I would know, I’m the south Florida taco eating champ."
