I’m also Dominican so when I taste the food I really felt like it was cooked by my aunt The server was amazing and very friendly My cafe con leche was great too"

"My first experience at Pollo El Cojido, a Dominican restaurant, left me rather disappointed. While I've had the pleasure of enjoying various Latin cuisines in the past, this place failed to impress me. There were several aspects that contributed to my underwhelming visit. First and foremost, the food was a letdown. It lacked the vibrant flavors and seasoning that I've come to associate with Latin cuisine. My wife's steak, in particular, had an off-putting sour taste and seemed past its prime. Her chicken soup was equally disappointing, resembling more of a hot water with a hint of chicken seasoning rather than a flavorful and comforting soup. Another issue was the excessive volume of the music. It was so loud that I couldn't even hear my wife sitting right beside me, which made the dining experience less enjoyable. Regrettably, I must admit that I won't be returning to Pollo El Cojido. It's disheartening when a restaurant doesn't live up to your expectations, especially when exploring a new cuisine for the first time."
"The food was great when it finally arrived but the customer service is lacking. It took a very long time for someone to take out orders even though the restaurant was at about half capacity if that. When someone finally arrived she seemed annoyed to be there and after we received our orders she never came back to check on things. We had to call her attention later to request a few more drinks. Would definitely rate the food higher but the service was not a good welcoming for our first meal in Florida during this trip."
