"I've been training at Hammerforge for over a year now. It's been great! I walked in with no prior experience in martial arts and my fitness was only so-so. Now I can strike, grapple, and deadlift over 200 pounds. Coach is very knowledgeable and helped me figure out that I needed to be eating more protein and better quality vitamins. The other students are friendly and everyone is always looking out for their partners' safety when training. If you're a lady, don't hesitate to check out Hammerforge. There's a few women (including me) who are there almost every day. The guys are respectful and also good to work with. "The training program in the Hummerforge is very professional and well-designed. The techniques taught in the school includes but more than BJJ, kickboxing, weapon fighting, and mixed martial art. With knowing the advantage of a good physical condition on fighting, besides the fighting techniques, the program also provided a side-by-side conditioning training without extra charge. The training is really intense, but starts from the basics and builds on. The instructor of the Hummerforge is encouraging and really cares about the trainees. He is professional in combat and conditional training, as well as nutrition. The instruction was provided by teaching following with a sufficient amount of sparring, and all the sparring was under a close coach. David (the instructor) is a great guy! We became close friends after I join the gym. He not only focuses on coaching combat techniques but also helps people to train a tough mind to fight all difficulties and stress in life: keep fighting! The environment at Hummerforge is very friendly and positive. Hummerforge is not only a gym for me but also a family, we train together: fight, make jokes, laugh, talk, and have beers."
