"This organization seems to be completely useless and might as well not exist for the lack of services they are able to provide. We recently found ourselves without transportation, and my elderly mother-in-law was about run out of medication. So, I jumped through their application hoops, providing them with every scrap of personal financial information possible to get my elderly mother-in-law registered as a rider so she could pick up her medication from palms medical group in Newberry. Multiple times she called and scheduled a pickup time several days in advance, only to be called the day before and told she could not be accomodated. The woman she spoke to was very rude over the phone and could not explain why, just that she could not be accomodated. Weeks went by and her medication ran out. So now they have all of our financial information and claim to not be able to accommodate her even though she met all of their criteria and claim on their website to be a service open to the public. Do not depend on Levy County Transit for a ride anywhere. You'd be more likey to get a ride by standing on the shoulder of the highway with your thumb out."
