Crossroad Hot Chicken

"I found this place on Google. I got the medium hot chicken sandwich with white sauce. The portion size was great. I’m was more than a little bummed that they didn’t have French fries. The clerk was hard to understand and not very helpful. The sauces all have different names but don’t have any description so you have no idea which one you want. He described the spicy level of the chicken is pretty darn spicy. I got the medium and I don’t think I would want to go any spicier. The meal itself was really good. I got the Mac and cheese as a side and it was great as well. My high water mark for chicken places is Lovebirds chicken in Lakeland. It was good but it wasn’t Lovebirds good."

"Amazing hot chicken!!! The portions were huge and the flavor was there along with some heat. I got the “Tampa Hot” and it was very bearable, and delicious. The corn ribs were the best side they had to offer as well. Definitely get all the sauces to try as well. The wait time can be long since it’s made fresh, so keep that in mind. It took about 15 minutes longer than they predicted for the pickup time. Wasn’t a huge fan of the Mac and the baked beans compared to the quality of the rest of the food, but it was still fine. Just not great. I would absolutely recommend."

"Wish these guys were near me! I came from outside Florida and ended up getting the chicken tenders. WOW! I got the ghost pepper chicken, their hottest that i could get. As a chilihead, there was a really great heat there without it being overpowering, and while still impacting so many flavors! Wish I ordered some to go! Also had some of their sides, my favorite being the Mac and cheese, and the baked beans! Best tenders I've ever had, will come straight back next time I'm in Florida!"

"I was really hyped to try this place out. I heard so many good things from other people, so I had to come grab a bite after work. I was sorely disappointed. I really wish I wasn't. The chicken was very tender and crunchy but my main problem was with the taste. I could not taste a single flavor over the coleslaw that the sandwich comes with. The only thing I tasted was heat, but no actual flavor. Plus, the mac and cheese I got was a premium side (+$3) and it tasted like melted American cheese slices, but that was better than the sandwich. Everyone working here was so nice that I kinda feel bad that I didn't enjoy my meal. The service was good, no hate to them at all.
