"Unfortunately, my recent experience at the Saturday afternoon buffet was less than satisfactory. While the food tasted good, the ambiance left much to be desired. The restaurant was compact with limited seating, and the atmosphere lacked charm. To make matters worse, I found a hair in my food, which was unsettling. The manager's response was disappointing, as she seemed to blame the customers for negligence rather than addressing the issue promptly. Additionally, the lack of cleanliness was evident, with dirty glasses adding to the discomfort. Furthermore, the staffing situation was inadequate, with only one boy attending to multiple tables, resulting in slow service and dissatisfaction among diners. As someone with a family, including a toddler, I found the environment to be far from kid-friendly. Improvement in these areas would greatly enhance the dining experience for patrons."

"Loved this place. 100% coming back. It’s a buffet but everything is fresh and cooked continuously in small portions. So good and flavorful. We met the owner — she was so nice and showed us around every dish and option. Also 5 chutneys and my favorite! Chicken 65. So so so good."

"I really enjoyed the food here it was extremely well flavored and a good introduction into indian food for someone who is not used to that type of cuisine. We ended up accidentally sitting down close to closing time but they were still more than happy to let us stay and eat. Waitstaff was very attentive and friendly too! * Update I just went again and the owner is the sweetest lady she gave us a 10% discount just because we got there when it was really busy and we had to wait a little bit. I will definitely be going there again!"

"Before the pandemic, Jai Ho was located in a strip mall plaza opposite the University Mall. They closed, we were sad, but were thrilled when they reopened in the mall food court! Located on the second floor, it’s easy to follow the Look Cinema signs up into the parking garage, then Jai Ho is located about a 1 minute walk to the right. Their combo meals are delicious and we’ve gotten them several times for lunch or dinner. The 2-Item Combo is $9.99 I think, then you add $1-2 to upgrade to 3-items or 4-items. The real star here is the lunch buffet! They offer it for $12.99 on most weekdays, then I think it’s $16.99 for a bigger weekend buffet. Spice levels are nice…won’t blow you away, but definitely spicy. Food is fresh, flavorful, and delicious. There are usually about 10 items on the buffet, plus they’ll bring out fresh dosa and puffy poori bread (instead of naan). This past Friday (Jan. 2024) there was spinach with lentils (dal), chickpeas (Chana masala), chicken tikka masala (boneless), chicken curry (with bones), goat curry (bones), chicken biryani, basmati rice, chicken 65 (think spicy nuggies), an eggplant and potato sautee, veggie korma, and paneer shahi korma (saucy cheese cubes)…plus pakora (veg fritters) app and bread pudding dessert (sweet cream, cashews, raisins). The owners are really nice and give great service. They are friendly and take pride in their business. Check out Jai Ho…truly one of Tampa’s hidden gems and “best kept secrets”…but get the word out so they stick around!"

"My daughters and I been coming to this place for over a year now. And we keep coming back, i come here literally like once a week for the best Indian cuisine. Now in the new year 2024, I’m expanding my taste buds and trying different things on their menu. The customer service is outstanding, very family friendly and loving. If your in University Mall, go upstairs in the food court area, and try them out, you won’t be disappointed!!"
