"We decided to try something new. The people were very friendly to everyone who came in. The food was ok. While the portion size was huge still was over priced for soup and sandwich imo. Sent the soup back bc it was not hot and second round was not hot either, it may have been better if it were hot. Soup and sandwich and drink for 2 was 45 dollars."

"My third time here, it just keeps getting better and better the staff is as a tentative as you’re going to find in a five star restaurant everything is super fresh. I just had breakfast and I drove 30 minutes on my way to get here and it was worth every bit of the extra drive. They’re mostly younger folks inside, but their work ethic is beyond question. The lady managing them is an exceptional personality all in our own. It’ll be entertaining and the food is great"

"The owners really worked hard to convey the small town feel of a neighborhood general store. Not only do they make fresh dishes with unique twists but also features homemade desserts and any pickled varieties you can dream up. Sauces and dips. Chips and honey. Jams and obscure pop (soda). Candy, souvenir & gift options, too. Staff is ever so cheerful, chatting with each and every patron. I’ve been several times and every visit is just as enjoyable as the last. I was pleasantly surprised to know that the majority of their supplies come from our local Sarasota Amish friends. Packages, jarred and bagged with the general stores own brand. A memorable option to pop in and grab staples for your next charcuterie night or have an unforgettable Seminole Heights menu delight! Bring all your people and pull up a chair to their homey vibes!"

"This family-run restaurant has great comfort food with a Cuban twist. Our family of four was split 50% breakfast food and 59% lunch. We highly recommend the Cuban breakfast sandwich with bacon, eggs and cheese on Cuban bread. It is big enough to share! The chicken salad sandwich and turkey sandwiches on marble rye tasted fresh and were very filling. The restaurant also sells preserves, local honey, craft sodas in 4-packs, Old Florida chips and cool cutting boards made by a local craftsman. The staff and their gray cat will make you feel at home. Finally, prices were very fair for the large portion sizes."

"Have been to this adorable general store a few times. Their soup and sandwiches are so delicious! Their desserts are also to die for. Everything tastes so fresh and the portions are generous. Plus they have a resident cat who is so cute and sweet!"
