"this is the best mexican food in tampa! we ordered the birria tacos, elotè (mexican street corn), dorilocos, horchata, and pork tacos. every single thing was a 15/10. i couldn’t even believe the flavors in my mouth! the birria tacos were a standout for me. the taco itself was amazing, but when you dip it in that consommè, wow! i also added some of the green sauce and it was a symphony of taste. the horchata was delicious & had a great amount of cinnamon. the chips and salsa were obviously fried fresh from real tortillas and wow they were amazing. the music playing in the shop was also top notch, and the waiter was super nice. you could hear and smell the food being cooked fresh in the back. i am from san antonio, texas and have traveled throughout mexico, and this is still some of the best mexican food i have ever had. it is a hole in the wall spot, but it deserves to be famous in the area!"

"We are always happy to try the little hole in the wall places. Google reviews didn’t let us down for our first time at Mangonadas! We were greeted with a smile and given FRESH chips with a lovely salsa. The chips were literally too hot to touch at first because they were just made from homemade corn tortillas. Seriously good chips. I ordered el pastor tacos and a shrimp taco. My other half go a chicken California burrito. The flavor of the el pastor was a bit different than I’ve had at the million other taquerias I’ve been to, but still good. The shrimp was lightly breaded and fried to perfection (super crisp outside and tender inside) and the coleslaw topping complimented it well. All the tacos were served on delicious homemade corn tortillas. The burrito was good and large, but weird LOL - it had French fries IN the burrito. My other half ate the whole thing without complaint and said it was good. It’s a small place next to a gas station so not a 5-star interior, but there are no shortcomings when it comes to the food. Go for the chips and stay for the tacos!"
