"On 6/20/21, ORANGE BEACH EMT's were called to Sandy Shores Apt to transport my husband to SOUTH BALDWIN HOSPITAL FOR LUNG ISSUES, EMT's were advised his Dr was on call and at South Baldwin hospital waiting on transport of my hubby. The 3 EMT's were overwritten for the location of South Baldwin Hospital by the person in charge of EMT's standing in my bedroom, whom all of them failed to advise me of their change in route to Gulf Shores new ER clinic not to the hospital in Foley. I go to South Baldwin Hospital in Foley only to be called by Gulf Shores ER my husband was there, I instructed them to get him to hospital as he was suppose to go. Was advised they do not do transports, so I call the real Fire Chief at OBA whom had just came on duty, he personally went to Gulf Shores ER with EMT's and transported my hubby to hospital ER. The admitting Dr Chung stated my hubby had a blood clot on his lung, he needed care 6 hrs prior to this bad call from the acting Fire Chief in Orange Beach. My hubby lived 12 hrs from that time of Dr Chung's admitting him to hospital, delay in my hubby's care is cause of EMT's not doing as requested, we pay for services rendered, but not when it cost you your husbands life."
