"Whomever is in charge of the events at this school has really bungled things up this year (2018). The Donuts for Dads event was a total bust with my husband waiting in line with my son for over an hour just to be treated to some leftover donut holes since the donuts were gone. Son got to class very late because of the line. They should have separated this event by grades. Day 1 for dads of k-1st Day 2 dads of 2nd-3rd , Day 3 dads of 4-5th. Something like that would've been much better. Also, today 5/22 some event is taking place that has meant NO parking anywhere not even in the grass behind the school fence. My son was again very late to class because we couldn't find a place to park and it's not even his awards ceremony day. This has never happened before. Usually the award ceremonies are also divided but for some reason it's all happening at once and causing a lot of unnecessary stress. Event planning cannot be this hard, people."

"I'm really disappointed about the Donuts with dads event... there were No Donuts when I arrived I there where probably hundreds of dads behind me in the line, and most likely we all have jobs to go to etc.. My daughter who was very exited about this event went to her class crying (which kills me) and while I was comforting her outside her building a very RUDE lady who works most likely outside in the parking lot (skinny, kind or reddish her), interrupt our conversation and basically took her out of my hands and walked her to her class in the most uneducated way. Whatever her job description is there are WAYS to proceed, being courteous really works good. My daughter went to her class crying and I left very veery disappointed."

"I am currently in 9th grade. I went to SLE and love all the years I spent there. It is my favorite school. It is a clean environment, and the teachers I had are amazing. If Spanish Lakes Elementry also had a middle school and high school I would not hesitate to go back. Some of the most treasured memories from my childhood are because of this school. I want to say thank you to all the people I have met there, who taught me, and who work there now. I also want to say thank you to the Liberian who recently retired. Not everyone will have the same experience, but you might still meet amazing people who might be your best friends till this day. To me this school is amazing in every way, and I highly recommend it for your children, friends, or anyone who is able to go."

"No stars. My son was failed in Math. Neither myself, nor my husband were notified that he was failing Math. His progress report did not reflect a failing grade. We chose to remove our son from SLE, considering he has had to make numerous adjustments (his teacher was consistently out of school and he had to adjust to several substitute teachers within a 9 week period), and now we have to find a tutor for him to get caught up to where he needs to be. We are convinced he was not taught one day of Math besides the homework his substitute teachers loaded his bookbag with for us to teach him. Worst school ever. Not to mention, when you enter the main office you better be on fire if you want anyone to acknowledge your presence. Oh, and due to my persistence, my son's grade will be changed to what it was when progress reports were issued which was a C. No student or parent should have to experience anything like this. Although its only been a few weeks, his new school is shaping up to be a much better and healthier environment for him."
