"This school is without a doubt the best school in Broward County. My two daughters attend this school , my eldest is a past student. She has skipped 7th and went into 8th grade , her SAT results in 8th grade have opened a door for her at Westminster noble academy school. She has awarded a scholarship for Westminister Academy and has recommended to do all honors and AP classes in 9th grade. Do not forget she has skipped 7th grade at Bethlehem’s and was still recommended for honors classes. In 9th grade she had took AP college credit exam and pass. Her SAT scores at Bethlehem’s in 6th , 8th was above high school level. Today my eldest daughter is were she is at because of the great teachers and administrator’s staff at Bethlehem’s that still believe our children are future generations, without a school as sternly in academically, I feel as if our children will miss out a lot. My youngest is still attending Bethlehem’s. My husband and I trust Bethlehem’s to give our kids the education they need, its a family, friendly school. As we will say it takes a village to raise our children, well Bethlehem’s is that village. Thanks Mrs Barbara Nelson (Pat) for instilling my girls that Bethlehem’s isn’t just preparing them for high school. Its also preparing them for the world."
"I have the utmost respect and the highest level of appreciation for Bethlehem Junior Academy. My son and my niece attended this school for 4 years, the only reason they are not there still today is - I moved out of the county. At the start, I had a culture shock because this school is like no other, they don't sugar coat things for you, if you want your child to learn with no jokes about it, get enrolled. Academic Quality: The school covers the Abeka curriculum, the teachers were able to cover the enter curriculum, review the material and practice, finish ALL the books that were purchased and allow my child to grow in his faith during each academic year. He was an advanced student and they were able to meet his needs and provide him with the challenge to do better. I was able to look through his composition books and see his progress daily, see his weak and strong points, look through what he learnt and make my suggestions to him. This is growth and this growth reflected in his SAT-10 exams. Teachers: The teachers I had were Caribbean teachers who provided not only the pedagogical support for my child but also the emotional support. He speaks highly of them even today. They were dedicated to each student there and was able to provide the necessary updates weekly or daily if I requested it which definitely improved his learning experience and my experience as a parent. Facilities and Resources: Now that I have moved to a new school, I appreciate even more the resources at BJA. The students are not taught by tablets and computers. They got the individual support needed from teachers the good 'ole' fashioned way. They had a rich reading resources and my son being an avid reader, always had the material he craved to do more and he improved greatly in his writing skills. Class Size: Smaller class sizes often lead to more individualized attention for students, allowing teachers to address their needs better and I believed the classroom size was sufficient for individualized attention. Extracurricular Activities: This is the only area I wish they had more to offer in. The students were transported to P.E twice per week. If this school had a large compound... they could change more lives. I enrolled my son in Karate at the city to make up for this area and that made a world of difference. Safety and Discipline: There was a security guard on duty all day. It became even more secure with the intervention of covid. They had their usual security practices and I felt a sense of calmness sending my son to school knowing he was in a safe place. Parent-Parent Interactions: As a parent, I also got the chance to meet some other great parents who I am friends with to this day. Knowing we are like minded individuals who all want top level education was good. Exposure: My son was also able to participate in state spelling bee competitions and it warmed my heart to see how well he did as he competed against other schools in the county. Now that I am at a new school, with the BJA foundation, my son is doing even better, he was tested as gifted, stays on the Principal's honor roll, he is well spoken, confident and continues to excel. Go for it parents!"
"I can’t say enough about how great our experience has been with the school. My daughter started Bethlehem Preschool at the age of 2. They helped my daughter with the transition into school, routinely the principal would keep her in the office with her if she was crying, huge comfort for a father. As she became comfortable my daughter flourished in the school. We chose Bethlehem Junior Academy based on the great job they did at the preschool. Now my daughter is going to the 2nd grade. On her last SAT exam at the school she’s testing off the charts. She’s testing well above her grade in virtually all subjects, in some subjects she tested as high as high school. Love the school, love the staff, and we’re thankful for the great job they’re doing."
"Excellent school, their staff is amazing. If you appreciate higher standard education from Jamaica, you will love this school your children appreciate academic achievement they will achieve at Bethlehem junior academy."
