"Only place I found in miami that lets you sit down to eat Japanese style. Food is delicious and fresh. Alot to choose from the menu whether your into sushi or noodles to karaage chicken! If you’re not a fan of floor seating, they do have regular seating downstairs. On busier nights, try to reserve over the phone especially if you want to seat up stairs. Great place for a date night or to celebrate! (or just enjoy some good authentic tasting Japanese food)"
"This is my by far my favorite restaurant. No better sushi than here. Service is wonderful and love the different atmosphere. Fresh and delicious sushi. Would recommend 100%. All I would love is if they can bring back the fried cheesecake bite because the big piece of cheesecake always comes out frozen and cant be eaten."
"Came here on a Friday night to have a try at Shibui Japanese Restaurant, the fish tasted fresh for the nigiri and the clear soup was great, the service was lacks there were huge gaps in between our waitress checking on us.. when we got the bill there was a 8% SALES TAX? we are in Florida it’s supposed to be 7% and when we asked about it they said the extra 1% was a tourism tax…. But on the sales receipt it’s not listed as a tourism tax it’s listed under sales tax so that was an extreme red flag for us….."
"A unique Japanese restaurant in the heart of Kendall in Miami, Florida. This restaurant offers chabudai seating (short leg table and you sit on floor cushion), sushi bar seating and regular dining table seating. Floor seating is what makes this restaurant unique! There are several pages of sushi options. There are Japanese dishes, appetizers and drinks to add to your order. There is the option to make reservations as it can get rather busy on weekends. Service is pretty good overall. Greeted very nicely upon arrival and servers have been nice and knowledgeable. Compared to having one large sushi like in most sushi restaurants, the sushi is less expensive but usually smaller rations which is a good thing if you like to try multiple sushi in one seating (pay attention to the number of sushi pieces labeled on the menu). One star was deducted for a personal reason. There is a slight odor where there is carpeting. It could benefit from a steam and extraction cleaning. I think the place can use a deep cleaning overall. It's not a dirty place but it does feel a bit aged with certain peculiar odors."
