"Rancho Mateo is one of those places where you feel that everything is authentic, it's a time and space portal to Colombia. Let's start with the service: they have many servers around ready to help you, they are always attentive to any needs that you could have. Bring your reading glasses to read the menu, but you will find great dishes and the taste is amazing! Be aware that the dish are bigggg so bring your stomach empty. I tried the picada, the guacamole con chicharrón, and caldo de costilla. It seems that they have many events happening."

"This past week I went to Rancho Mateo a Colombian restaurant in Las Americas Shopping Center. At first glance, this place looked nice. Had colorful and fun decor all over and it was so beautiful to look at. The part where I and my family were sitting was particularly very noisy since they offered live music and it was so loud compared to other restaurants. I enjoy eating in peace preferably with not-so-loud music. So Eventually sat outside and the food came and it didn't take so much time. But honestly, the price of the food wasn’t the best to be worth 25 dollars. I probably won’t return since my waiter and my food weren’t the best and they should probably lower their prices."

"Restaurant is very nice and clean inside. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a stage for live music and a really nice bar. Food portions were pretty big leaving us a lot of food to take for leftovers. Our waiter was very helpful in helping us decide what to eat. Overall a good experience"

"PROS: Great service! Very attentive, friendly and professional personnel. The ambiance is very folkloric and its on a very good location. Parking is close. CONS: The food. I ordered 2 filet mignon medium rare. It took 20+ minutes, and when it arrived, it came wrapped with bacon. It had a very strange color and smell. Taste was ok. When asked for fresh pepper I was told there was none. A waitress brought me ground pepper that smelled very old!"
