"Enjoyed several evenings outside here. Friendly and accommodating staff with nice ambiance. Sonja and Marcus were great. Had a fantastic dinner on valentines of ravioli with lobster, shrimp and calamari. Flatbreads were good too."

"4.5 stars. Skippers is a great seafood restaurant tucked back in by a marina off the beaten path in Key Largo. Good tiki vibes and outdoor seating. The food was very good. I started off with their house bloddy mary and some fried calamari. For my meal, I had the catch of the day: Blackened Hogfish. It was cooked great, and I chose the cilantro rice and cilantro sauce. I was more than satisfied. Overall, it was a nice place to eat. Good view of the marina and boats going by. The bathrooms were clean and nice-looking. If you're looking for a good tiki bar/restaurant experience in Key Largo, this is it. Thanks for the experience!"

"We ordered 2 types of wings. One being Jerk Chicken Wings. The wings were delicious. They we meaty and cooked just right. My problem was they didn't taste anything like Jerk. Don't get me wrong...... the wings were delicious but far from jerk. I had my mouth wanting Jerk Chicken........lol. Name them something else. We arrived during last call and everyone was extremely nice and courteous. We sat outside and it was pretty clean. A singer was there playing good music. > 2nd visit We enjoyed the wings so much we decided to return. Food was very good once again. We had a great watermelon salad. Wings were very good again. Burger was delicious but the fries were weak. What really disappointed us were the DOGS. 2 tables had dogs. 1 table had 2 dogs and another 1 dog. I have and love dogs but they shouldn't be at a public restaurant. Everyone doesn't like dogs especially around their food. Some people are allergic to dogs. Some people are afraid of dogs. 2 of the dogs were not controlled. It was annoying to have someone else's dog getting in my way and wanting to jump on me while trying to enjoy myself and be away from dogs. I understand if they were seeing eye dogs but they weren't. I don't think I would return or recommend unfortunately."

"Skippers Dockside Restaurant located in Key Largo, Florida is awesome. The atmosphere is great and so is the live entertainment and the food. The location was perfect. We were staying at the Holiday Inn Resort in Key Largo so that meant that we didn’t have to even start our vehicle for three straight days. Nor did we need to take a taxi. It’s located just behind the Holiday Inn Resort and we were allowed to charge our bill to our room which made it extremely easy. We highly recommended this restaurant. We can’t wait to eat here again. And their Key Lime Pie is good also."

"Next to our hotel is the lively and fun Skipper's Dockside in Key Largo. It sits next to Key Largo Harbor Marina, where you can dock your boat for 2 hours while at Skipper's. Beautiful area to walk around at by day or night with many palm trees. It's basically a seafood restaurant, but I recently developed allergies to seafood, so I ordered the Churrasco Steak & Frites dish with smashed potatoes and a vegetable medley. It was cooked just right and was delicious. They give you generous portions here. My daughter ordered the Short Ribs dish with smashed potatoes. However, by mistake, they brought her the wrong order (Short Rib tacos). Judith was our server, and she sincerely apologized for the chef. She was a very nice lady and took really good care of us the entire night. We completely understood. The only other glitch was that the French Onion Soup that we ordered as an appetizer tasted like no other French Onion soup we have ever tasted. I can't even describe what it was or what was in it. We couldn't finish it. Judith brought us their delicious Key Lime pie to make up for the soup. A huge applause to Matt, who was their live entertainer that evening, sang the most touching and beautiful rendition of "Hallelujah" that I have ever heard! He has a fantastic singing voice. I could listen to him for hours. We had a very nice time on this beautiful warm evening outdoors by the water. Parking is free in their own lot. Wheelchair accessiblability. We plan to go back again on our next trip to the keys."
