"This little place appears to be a family operated Cuban style restaurant. It is oceanfront with windows overlooking a small marina. It is all indoor seating, but still dog friendly. We ate here with our hundred pound golden doodle. My wife had the shredded pork, and I had the shrimp creole. Both dishes were very good and affordable. Cuban style, Creole, is much different from Louisiana style. They offer a 10% discount, if you pay in cash."

"My favorite conch fritters ever. Palomilla steak and black beans are also quite good. They were rather busy, which contributed to the delayed service. Still, the wait was worthwhile. pleasant perspective of the marina. Delicious meal!"

"This is a rare non-touristy restaurant located in the Islamorada area. And of course, this restaurant has become my go-to restaurant in the area for many years. As the name Habano indicates, this place specializes in Cuban cuisine. Have you not had good dining experience when you visited Havana? Rest easy, your Cuban dining experience here will most likely will exceed the real Havana’s. All appetizers and entrees are delectable; they just know how to cook. But my favorites are scallops, vaca fritta and pepper steak. These entrees come with 2 sides and I always get maduros as one of the options. And they cook your ‘catch’ for a fee of $14.95. I caught yellow jack and they cooked for me in 2 different styles. Pricing has gone up quite a lot in recent years but current pricing is still very competitive. And there’s a 10% discount if you pay in cash. Enjoy!"

"Food is good. Service is average. Beware of an 18% "service charge" added onto your bill ALONG WITH A TIP LINE. My husband didn't see the Service charge line & also added a tip which between the two was about 50% of the bill! VERY SNEAKY thing for a restaurant to do. Even though the food was good, I don't think I'd go back after that one! Good way to lose repeat customers!"

"Perfectly located next to my timeshare. This new restaurant hit the spot, not only do they (Cook your catch). But they also have some great items on the menu. Service was as good as it could be as packed out it was. Everyday there has been a wait for a table."
