"Unfortunately I do not have a very well opionion from this school. Actually I am very dissapointed. My daughter did not make very good chemistry with the teacher She got in kindergarden. My daughther would tell me that she didn't like her teacher and that the teacher woud scream in her ears. My daughter even started eating her nails once she started this school, which is something she has never done before. She has been very stressed out and anxious in the last couple of weeks. I recognize my daughter is hyperactive and she acts out cause she has a strong personality, but when a kid tells you he/she doesn't wanna be somewhere or with an specific person definitely he or she does not feel ok in this place. I decided to change school and my daughter feels great. So definitely the issue was with her teacher. Also they asked me to take my daughter to a psychologist and a neurologist: that's crazy I have never had to do such a thing before. My daughter is a normal kid she is just hyperactive and very smart as well so she gets bored easily. I must say that if in this school they do not have enough patience and wanna resolve everything with doctos then there's definitely something wrong with this school. They need to understand all kids are different and some kids require more work and communication than others. I am super happy I decided to change her of school. Best decision I took and I am never going back to this school."

"I honestly can say I’m so glad for my children I made the decision to transition them to a different school after having done my research. Pinecrest Academy, one has no protocols for bullying since the beginning of the year I would reach out to teacher and they would say the were addressing it but the one time the counselor went to address the situation, the counselor questioned my son and I asked him are you sure the bully wasn’t playing?! How can that even be a question more so when my son doesn’t have a history of lying nor does he bully anyone or have aggressive behavior. He would come home complaining everyday and teachers would still have him sitting next to the bully cause my son would tell me,so again I would have to reach out and tell them to separate them! I asked multiple times I want a meeting with the bully’s parents and principal I was never given a meeting. The teachers besides the kindergarten teachers here( Ms Hoffmiester) truly are AMAZING she knows how to speak to parents and notifies you for everything. The other teachers did not do this, honestly I found the other teachers my boys had to be rude, annoyed, and if there was donations being collected to gift the teacher they would tell students your parent didn’t buy me a gift or give me money like the other students , when that shouldn’t be something said to the child especially not knowing how he financial situation at home. If your child is delayed in a subject they do not have the resources to help your child succeed and teachers for some reason keep just trying to enforce meds on the students which is ridiculous. Both my boys had difficulty with reading so I truly had a very difficult time when my kids attended this school. Now they are in a new elementary school and both are thriving, the teachers have Phenomenal communication they know how to speak to the parents. The principal and assistant principal are so friendly and are involved with each student, which Pinecrest the principal with as many meetings as I attended I never saw her once. The staffing specialist ( Dr. Husabun) I can say was also very helpful and was probably the only person who would make me feel comfortable in the meetings I would attend to speak about my son’s progress."

"My daughter was in this school since kindergarten. She is now in second grade. My experience with Pinecrest Preparatory Academy quickly became very unpleasant and disappointing to say the least. Kindergarten and first grade my daughter was good student, not demonstrating any difficulty with the curriculum and material given throughout these grades. Beginning September of second grade, just a month into the school year, my daughter’s grades dramatically dropped from A and B to D and F. According to the teacher, who has shown to be a great teacher, my daughter did not know how to read. I came to the realization that my daughter’s grades have been inflated in kindergarten and first grade as if she was excelling in school when in reality she was not. After 2 meetings with the teacher, who helped my daughter a lot and who gave me information and tips about reading, she recommended my daughter to repeat the grade insinuating she will be better next year and that it was OK because the director's daughter also repeated to second-grade, I was in shock at this recommended resolution. After days of waiting to speak with the director of the school, the very unprofessional and unpleasant staff Kept assuring me that the director would get back to me. Not waiting any longer I sat myself in the office until she got to work. Which ended up being the only way for me to get in contact with the director. The director was very unpersonable And extremely unprofessional. She too recommended me to repeat my daughter in second grade as if that was the only option I had because her daughter also did it or tutoring which my daughter has since last year. Some teachers that work there charge 40 to 50 dollars per hour. I have immediately removed my daughter from the school to another school due to this incident. Which I have heard is not the first."

"I would not recommend this school, they have favorites depending on how much money the kids parent donate to them, all they care about its money. There is also lots of cases of bullies that have gone on in the past with no action from their principal. They are very cold and rude people, specially their principal you could tell she has no passion at all for what she does. The teachers are a little different can only speak for the one that my child had .. Ms.Leal was her last one and she was great!! If you want your child to have a nice day at school and you dont want to be asked for money every couple of days please choose different school !!!!"
