"What a fun little place! It wasn't very busy when we went at 5pm on a Monday, but our server Michael was friendly and gave great suggestions. Try the pork tacos with the pinapple salsa!"
"I must start off by saying this place was definitely worth the wait. It has been on my saved restaurants to try list for a long time. All around delicious. Had the Lucha Libre drink, which was very tasty, lots of ice but very refreshing. To start had to try the guacamole. It was pretty good with their chips. To eat had the tacos which you can mix match between chicken, pork, steak and shrimp. 3 per order. I tried all of them and they did not disappoint. It was a consistent taste in every bite.. so good.. dare I say the beat tacos I've had in this area. The restaurant itself is small and very intimate. Full bar plenty of seating and they have an outdoor area as well."
"First visit here since they moved from Lutz. Overall everything was good. The drinks were great, the chips and salsa were tasty. The burrito was a little on the cool side as far as temp. We’d try it again in the future."
"Very glad we tried out Mekenita. It's a cute place and nicely decorated. Has a welcoming feel. Menu has a good selection of the traditional dishes you'd expect, along with some different dishes. Our food was good and our drinks were delicious. You don't get chips n salsa like most Mexican restaurants though! Price point was reasonable and our server was friendly Parking lot is very tight though. We had a good time at Mekenita."
"This place is nice & very trendy. Parking is difficult. Be careful of tow signs. Also, they ran out of the crab roasted enchiladas l, so I was a bit disappointed. Our server was top notch & the fresh guacamole & chips n salsa were great. I ordered the smoked pork enchiladas & they were tasty & filing. The place is usually crowded, so make sure to be aware of this as seating is limited. I will definitely return."
