"I want to start off by saying I've been coming here for years, and recently they abbreviated their menu, so I thought they were zoning in on perfecting their brunch menu, but I was thoroughly disappointed. The best thing out of our options was the Brisket Benedict, and even the brisket was overcooked. My jaw hurt so much from chewing. The flavor was great, but the texture was just not it. The breakfast potatoes were also surprisingly unseasoned. The worst thing was the breakfast burrito. The onions inside were slimy and cold, and there was not much flavor to note. "Went here for trivia night and it was ROUGH. It was multiple choice (no other place I know does this), people were on their phones cheating (you didn’t have to since most of the questions were easy), it was dreadfully slow (I know you want to sell drinks but come on), and the poor hosts were not cut out for the job. Some manager threw them under the bus because they were not prepared and had a difficult time pronouncing many words. The customers had to ask for spellings multiple times, yikes. Easily avoided with any preparation/practice. The food wasn’t so hot either. I mean that literally, it was room temperature and very bland. I had the burrito, which is described as very flavorful on the menu. It was not. The portions are pretty generous, so it becomes a struggle to get through. I won’t put the blame on the chef, everything I saw looked well prepared, more the quality of ingredients. The drinks aren’t anything to write home about. Not a large selection and needs more local brews. Apparently brunch is where it’s at."

"Most of the food here was absolutely delicious. The one food item that was just okay was the cheese grits. The food portions are ample and worth the price. Most of us took home to go boxes. The staff was friendly and it had a nice atmosphere. There is limited seating, so peak times may be a challenge. Outdoor seating is an option. There are multiple TVs here. Would definitely recommend giving this place a try for brunch."

"What an incredible place. This was my 2nd time there, and it was just as good as the first! The food was delicious, and it served quickly, fresh & hot. Very good flavor profiles and textures were right on. Foodies like myself will really enjoy Bears Tavern & Tap."
