Guac n Cheese Mexican Grill

"My family enjoyed the old iteration of this restaurant. We tried to love the new version over the course of the last few years but can no longer overlook the consistent incompetence in take out order errors. The people are wonderful, the food is good but you have a 50/50 chance of any take out order missing items if you do not check the bag. To make myself clear: DO NOT ALLOW THE RESTAURANT TO TIE THE BAGS. CHECK YOUR ORDER TO ENSURE THAT ALL ITEMS ARE PRESENT. When the restaurant does leave an item out they either want you to come back for it or, if you want a refund, claim that you have to come back to the restaurant for a refund. That is simply mind boggling from the perspective of poor logic and even worse service for a mistake that they have made. After roughly a half-dozen orders with missing items over the past year and the first order of 2024 missing not one but two items there is zero reason to support this restaurant."

"What a disappointment...Walked in and was asked how many were in my party, stated 3, hostess asked us to wait while she cleared a table. While waiting about 12 more people walked in. The guy that came over to take names asked us again how many in the party. The staff started scrambling because there was obviously not enough room or tables to accommodate everyone that was waiting. They moved a table right in the middle of the walkway and positioned a tiny table with 3 chairs. When asked to sit there we expressed that the table was awkwardly positioned and asked to sit at the 4 top. We were told no and then advised if we didn't sit where they wanted us to we would need to wait until everyone else was sat and done with their dinner before they would wait on us. Please keep in mind we were there before everyone else and we're given a table that was being cleared. We will not be returning."

"Great Mexican food! We lived in Texas for a number of years and have found Florida Mexican restaurants to be mostly disappointing. We were quite pleased with this one. They are less conservative on the heat and the food was delicious. Chicken enchilada was one of the best I've had and tamales were good, but a little to heavy on masa and light on meat. Good service and good food. We will be back."

"We were finally all in agreement to go to Guac n cheese and we were all very happy. Tacos and fries for the kids, the guac n cheese burrito was delicious! I ended up trying the Sangria and it was one of the better ones I have had! Super friendly staff and we were pleasantly surprised of the spaciousness inside and lots of seating."

"If you're looking for Mexican food close to MacDill AFB, look no further! My husband and I stopped in for lunch. Even short staffed, service was quick and friendly. Our server, Shaw, made some great menu recommendations and brought our meals with a smile. Portions are generous and food was delicious. We will absolutely be back!"
