Steak 'n Shake

"Pros and cons. Pros-The taste and quality of the food was on par with the price. Relatively cheap. Restaurant was clean and seemed well kept. Cons- I placed my order and it took 30 minutes for food to arrive. The manager was nice about it, but not very concerned. The order was not correct and I did not want to wait a long time to get it fixed. When the food finally arrived, the fries were cool and the hamburger was a bit soggy on the bottom. The Patty looked like it was cooked to very well done and was very thin to the point of resembling parchment. Not sure. I will go back to this one."

"They no longer have servers and normally that would be a bad thing. The guy doing the work had a great attitude and was very helpful. I'm sure the reason for the lack of servers is to keep the business open. Man that was one of my favorite Hangouts when I was in high school."

"This store still seems to be having issues. It took close to 25 minutes to get my meal. While I was waiting, I snapped a great picture of the cook talking on her cell phone, which I saw her do twice. Anyway, I had to ask for my meal after 20 min. I think they set out a meal that wasn't mine. And it sat for at least 15 min on the counter. I heard the girl say it was order #150, which may have actually been a drive through order. I received my meal soon after asking about my order (#151). There were only two customers ahead of me, not counting drive-through . The two customers ahead of me were dinning together and also seemed to have an issue with their order, though I don’t know what the issue was. I'm not seeking any free meals. I just though that the Steak -n- Shake franchise would like to know that the last time I went to this store I had a similar, though slightly worse experience. That was back in March. I think I finally learned my lesson. From now on, I’m sticking to the Trinity, FL store. They are always on point!"

"What a great staff! Beautiful smiling faces, friendly, fast service, food was amazing and the shake even came in a nice glass! Cleanest restaurant I’ve been in, in a while. I was impressed."

"Portions was way too small for a $25 two person meal. Fries were thin as hell. Steak burger was nothing more than a couple steak-ums smashed together. Way smaller than expected. Milkshake was probably the best I ever had tho. Top tier. Shawty walkin around interacting with customers seemed like she didn’t believe me when I told her I order cheese fries but got regular one. Then proceeded to look at part of the receipt to confirm her suspicions but i immediately pointed her to my original receipt, problem solved but not a good customer interaction. If I visit tampa in the future I’ll give it another go but for now, 2 stars."
