"A bucket list item for the wife was the cilantro rice at a Peruvian restaurant and today we finally went. The food here is very good, the place seems popular and the server was very sweet. We opted for the family dinner in order to take some home, it came with 3 sides and 2 different sauces. The chicken " a la brasa" was excellent, very flavorful and juicy. The sauces were both good, a tad of heat but not overly so. The tostones were well made and crispy. The rice was good but the wive said she's had better. The black beans right on point. The flan was really superb, a bright spot in the meal. Choose your table wisely as there are many cold spots and our food turned cold very quickly. Also, the "Mil Hojas" pastry was hard and dense, apparently this was info the server was aware of but did not think of sharing. Knowing what I know, I would go again. At least now I am better prepared for the experience. We left sooner than planned so we could heat our food at home to better enjoy it."
