"We recently returned to Capital Grill and had another fantastic experience. We began with the lump crab appetizer, which was a delightful start to our meal. For the main course, I ordered the 10oz fillet, and it was cooked to perfection (med rare), just the way I like it. My husband had the sea bass, which we both agreed was the best we've ever had. To complement our mains, we indulged in the heavenly mashed potatoes, which were simply to die for. The overall dining experience at Capital Grill was top-notch, with impeccable service and memorable dishes. We'll definitely be returning! They get it right every single time!!"

"Started with the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella appetizer after reading positive reviews about it. I was excited to try it but was disappointed. Tasted like salt and grease only and the crostini it was served with was practically inedible as it was impossible to bite. Not at all worth ordering. Ordered the roasted chicken for my main and was excited for the mushroom and parmesan risotto it is served with. Was as if it was unflavored wet rice (not even salted taste). Severely disappointed. Chicken itself was cooked well and soft but again I felt as if it was lacking some sort of flavor. Now all of this would not lead to a bad review but given the money you're paying for the food it is expected that every item on the menu should be given the same attention and detail (and flavor) as the more ordered dishes are. Would recommend the side dish Au Gratin potatoes as those were cooked crispy on top and soft inside with a nice cheesy flavor. Also, we had to wait a long time for the food to arrive and were told this is as they had a big party leaving. Family didn't have any particular issue with the food except that it was only average and not worth the money. Overall, overpriced average food. You're better off spending your money elsewhere."

"I came here for the first time on my birthday. The birthday dessert was a special touch that I thoroughly enjoyed. The service was good and food was okay (nothing to brag about). For reference, I ordered the chicken w/ mushroom risotto (I added black pepper) and creamed spinach. I wish the spinach was hot in temperature not warm. The overall experience was good."

"Wife's Birthday Dinner at the Capital Grill Tampa 12/10/23 I haven't been here In a decade plus. Instead choosing Eddie V's, Ruth's Chris and Charlie's in its place. Bad decision. Not sure what they did but they dialled it in. Service was Second to none (thanks Matt) and EVERYTHING more then exceeded our expectations. Service as a 10/10. The initial entry was warm and inviting. We asked after our apps, if we could move to a booth that became free (not fans of tables and when we arrived the place was packed). The manager came and said no problem how is that table. Again, warm and inviting. Our server, Matt was also a 10/10. He went above and beyond. Explained the menu in fine detail and with personality. Always checking on us and making sure we were enjoying our time, and if we needed anything. Never rushed and never intrusive. One of the best servers we have EVER had. And that is saying a lot. The craft cocktails were also 10/10. some of the best we have had at a resturant. An amazing Black Tie Margarita, amazing Espresso Martini and Amazing Mule with reserve Belvedere vodka. Wasn't a fan of the run drink but that was because I don't enjoy mango. Appetizers also a 10/10. She had the lobster bisque (Matt's recommendation) and was creamy, the correct amount of Sea taste and full of good sized chunks of lobster. 10/10 Bacon wrapped mozz was a surprising and amazing choice also. Don't sleep on this. Out of the three this was the most Amazing. 10/10 We also tried the Tuna Tartar which was extremely fresh and hit on all cylinders. I can't pinpoint anything wrong with it other then the other apps outshines. 9/10 Split a field greens salad with an amazing parm vinegarette that I will be searching for the recipe. The portions on the spilt were big which we loved. Perfectly cooked filet for her and an outstanding Veal Chop for me. The quality of the meat was on par with the better places we visit the veal chop was outstanding (cena in Tampa also has one of the best). We shared asparagus that were properly prepared without stalk issues. The food was 10/10 all Of it. Including the comp b-day dessert. May have been one of the best dinning experiences we have had in a very, very long time (outside of Beau and Mos in st Pete which sets the grading bar high). The food and drinks are the superstar but without Matt as a server it wouldn't of been 10/10 We will be adding this into our rotation replacing Ruth's Chris and Eddie V's. Was blown away with what he have been missing."

"This location deserves all the stars and I would recommend them for a few reasons. A few friends and I visited this location the day after hurricane Idalia so it was nice to see our reservation still being accommodated by their wonderful staff. I must also add that I really loved how attentive our waiter was and I could see that all the servers also worked really well with one another. This location does not offer complementary valet like the Orlando location which might be an issue if you visit on a weekend. On to the food, every single item that we had was delicious. I couldn’t get enough of the onion bread and our server even gave us some to go. The steak was probably one of the best I had, the soy glazed Brussel sprouts were juicy, flavorful and since I visited during the time that they were offering the generous pour, I got go leave with a little buzz. This is fine dining done right and Capital Grille is officially on my list of favorite restaurants in Tampa."
