Frenchy's Rockaway Grill

"What a great beachfront restaurant! I have been here a few times, and each time the food has been delicious, the atmosphere is vibrant, inviting, & laid-back and the waitstaff has been super friendly. We came this visit on a Monday at noon and were sat surprisingly fast with our party of 9 people. The server was pleasant, informative, and attentive! I love when a server refills a beverage without having to be asked!! I partook in the February special of Jalapeño Bacon Chicken and chose coconut rice and Cole slaw. It was flavorful and while not overpowering, the spice left my mouth burning for a little while after finishing but I was here for it! My friend enjoyed her salad as well (can’t remember which one it was!). I highly recommend trying this place out. Beware if you sit outside, you’re likely to leave with sand in places you didn’t expect but chalk it up to the experience and sit beach front if you can!"

"Loved the onion rings, chili dog and shrimp. Drinks were light on the alcohol. Sitting outside with a view of the beach was the highlight. During our 5 day vacation we ate here 3 times. Definitely the most consistent of any of the restaurants in the area. The steak was forgettable and the chicken tenders were just okay, my son preferred the burger and chili dog."

"Love this place!! Went on a Friday night. This one is Hugeee! We sat outside on the sand. So awesome! Kid friendly. Inside they had a guy playing drums and a bunch of girls singing and dancing, having fun. Waitress was very sweet. We shared a bunch of apps. Grouper nuggets, oysters rock, buffalo shrimp, crab Rangoon, steamed shrimp, kids tenders and fresh fruit. They have a private room for parties/events. 3-4 bars. Such a fun place. Wish we had one in Va Beach!"

"Our waiter and staff was great. We ordered and within 5-10min our food was out. We started with the crab fries. My wife got the coconut shrimp, coconut rice; and garlic marshed potato’s. She also got the small strawberry shortcake drink (that was okay). I got scallops- they were great. Atmosphere was very cool. Had a great experience."

"Enjoyed a wonderful surf and turf dinner here and was able to catch an amazing sunset. My blackened shrimp were plump, juicy and perfectly seasoned. My steak was very good and had that hint of char flavor that made it that much better. Our service was attentive and very friendly. Great place. But if you go around the time the sun sets, parking can be a bit challenging. So take that into consideration when choosing this establishment."
